this show is so bad. i can't believe it was greenlit. the first few episodes were hilarious (in a bad way). it got better but not enough to even be watch-able. the performances by the leads were so over done and you really see how poorly comic book writing translates to screen. i love Forbes. she's the only actor who isn't overacting every line in the show. but even she can't save this sinking ship. 1/5 stars.

good luck to anyone watching this lemon.

i totally get the interpretation. it's a "what if the joker was real AND edgy" interpretation.

i'm not a fan. i wish they'd stop trying to be edgy. they've ruined their IPs.

form a DC Film studio to take creative control of these films like Marvel did and get back to honouring the source material.

Me too.

Opinions are like @$$holes. Everyone's got one. I'll leave them to it (unless they overtly try to piss in my cornflakes like a certain atheist who is far, FAR, less knowledgeable on all things than he would care to believe).

I prefer to remain EXTREMELY pleased at the prospect of seeing both Batman & Superman on the big screen, in a big budget movie that is taken seriously, for the first time.

Something I've wanted since sporting my first pair of Superman underroos. Keep looking forward to it bud. It's a great time to be a comic book fan.

this amounts to "i'm a 13yo who has wanted to see superman and batman fight since i put on underroos. i don't care if they shouldn't fight or don't have a good reason to."

but like you said, "opinions are like .... "

i prefer substance and being informed, personally.

Marvel fans are laughing their asses off for this one.

The only 13 year old levels therein are your powers of deduction and feeble attempt at wit.

Where in my post did I state I "want" to see Superman and Batman fight for starters? I said seeing them both, together, on the big screen will be epic. And it will. If the film ends up falling short, well, I'll still thoroughly enjoy the anticipation and the visual pleasure of seeing the two icons share a big budget movie for the first time.

If you're going to be a d!ck in your retort to someone, at the very least address what it is they actually said.

And seriously, learn how to properly and completely express your thoughts if you want to start forcing them down folks throats online. Otherwise, you come off sounding every bit the moron. You prefer being "informed" on what bud? What a dumb thing to say. No rhyme, no reason, no context. OK champ. You go out there in the world, and you stay "informed".

Man you pessimists are hilarious. Screaming "doom and gloom" on a movie not yet released. Life must really suck for you kid.

hmmm powers of deduction? wth are you talking about? i'm not deducing anything. lol wut? no, i was being blunt. put simply; i wasn't saying you were 13yos. i was saying your post describes a childish interest and desire to see these 2 characters together nomatter how bad it is. i actually did address exactly what you said. i just didn't repeat it back to you like a McDonald's drive through order when i replied. i didn't think it needed to be spelled out. but hey, i guess i was giving you more credit than i should have.

i properly and completely expressed my thoughts. again, to spell it out you dismissed others' posts as lowly "opinions". my reply points out how your's is also a lowly opinion showing no substance. and again, i implied instead of straight out said... i have no time for people with opinions. they have no value to me. have substance and be informed. if you don't have either one, i don't care what hot air comes out of your mouth.

more intelligent and intuitive people in the world can take a look at something like a 2 min long trailer and extract information about the coming movie. things like plot elements and tone are communicated here. other people have already pointed out the dark stylized, cartoony imagery and the excessive slant on religious implications. these elements are enough for many fans of the source material to be antagonized by the trailer. it's not pessimism at all. the trailer is designed to intuitively, positively appeal to fans. the fact that it isn't appealing to many fans is a sign that the direction they're taking their universe isn't what the masses want to see. the same way MoS had a lot of fans eager to see an incredible movie, this movie has fans hopeful and watching. and the same way MoS disappointed most fans... this movie will almost for sure do the same thing (based on this footage anyhow).

if you can't read all that from the 2 min trailer; you're not capable of picking up on environmental information as well as other people are. that leaves you at a disadvantage in the world. good luck to you, kid.

huge DC comics fan. huge SM fan. have been really looking forward to this movie.

it's basically what i expected. DC is trying too hard to be dark, gritty and "edgy". i'm waiting for Superman's costume redesign with him in a hoodie. the whole thing stinks of "design by committee".

not a fan of this. and have very low expectations of this now. the reviews will mirror what Man of Steels reviews said.

these neighbourhood brawls are dumb as shit. if they do anymore they're going to become part of the show's drinking game rules.

i really hated most of this episode. the only parts i liked were Arsenal, Black Canary and Wildcat. and i didn't really like how pwnd Wildcat got.

this was a definite 4 stars. don't know why the reviewer had a problem with it.

i thought for sure the medium would give a Xanadu cameo but that turned out just fine.

Faust is one of my all time fav mystical antagonists in the DCU and i wasn't expecting him here at all this soon into the show. i loved the actor's performance too. his voice was incredible. and seeing these events that will lead to his future incarnation and provide him with his origin and motivation when dealing with Constantine, all in this seemingly simple episode, was really fantastic.

the pace of the show is a little cerebral and laid back so i can see action junkies having an issue getting into this show. a little more action wouldn't hurt it at all because of this. i desperately hope this show continues. i love everything about it. everyone i know watching it is loving it too.

i hated most of War so i wasn't looking forward to this. i was surprised. it's not amazing but it's much better than War. if it wasn't tied to the mistakes War made, it probably would have been better.

going from angst bar room brawler to royalty wasn't believable though. and Atlaneans just accepting him as King after just seeing him for the first time was silly too.

you forgot to mention that cisco said there were TWO flashes the night barry's mom died. so there is reverse flash (eddie) and professor zoom (wells, cause you know doctor aka professor) thats why reverse flash didnt hit eddie, also it takes off any suspect on wells by having his butt kicked by the bad guy

no one forgot that. it's the Flash and Reverse Flash in Barry's own memory. it's a FlashPoint Paradox story. The Flash goes back in time to prevent RF from killing his mother... sorta. That would explain the News Paper headlines of him disappearing. But the drama of it will be that (of course) he has to let it happen or the future will get screwed up.
