Fine... Let's go for 25K instead. The ride continues.

I think Colossus is something of a weak link here. The way Storm's been moving, I have no doubt she can handle Ivy. She should handle Grodd as well since she has good tp resistance from training with Xavier. Colossus is basically just a brick, though. Kinda just comes down to how much Storm would have to carry.

Echo was not as bad as everyone is saying it is. The first 3 episodes were pretty solid. I think it's more a fault of Disney and/or Marvel. The finale felt rushed, and apparently an entire episode was scrapped. The potential was there, and they dropped the ball, but it still came out better than a lot of what I'm hearing.

Round 1: Toph and Pakku, with Toph as clear MVP. I consider both pre- and post-fusion Unalaq above Pakku, so yeah. Toph carries. Plus, not a ton of water in this location, so it mostly comes down to the earthbenders.

Round 2: Team 2. Post-fusion Unalaq puts in work against Pakku. I think Kuvira is such a prodigious metalbender, that her raw earthbending gets overlooked. I say that to say I think she can hold her own against Toph long enough for this to be a 2-v-1.

Lady Shiva. Tbh, I think Batman vs the Turtles would more or less go the way it was portrayed in their crossover comic, which is Batman beating them 1v4, and being more on the level of Shredder and Splinter. IIRC, there was a TMNT writer who said about the same, and that was before that comic was released. Anyway, I think Shiva would give them the same treatment, except she would be more punishing in her approach.

@infinitehope: For all the memes, and tropes, it's still Dragon Ball lol. Followed by Yu Yu Hakusho and Bleach. I enjoy a simple shonen sometimes lol.

Favorite anime protagonist? Probably Vegeta. I prefer villains, and it was a good slow burn transition from villain to hero for him.

@indomitableregal: I see your point. I just mean that technically timeline is the same until some event that changes it happens. So characters should be one-to-one unless something clearely changes their power levels (e.g. Peggy Carter becoming superhuman).

Honestly I doubt anybody thought about consistency while writing What if... but it's canon and it's hard to ignore it completely.

Fair enough. If it means anything, Hela did crush that one soldier's head inside his helmet, so you know... maybe she just had a thing for crushing idk lol. I feel like the What If... serious basically gave them license to ignore consistency.

@infinitehope: You always end up with the most thought provoking threads lol. So this is a tough call. My first thought was gameplay easily. My favorite genre is fighting games, with Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom being my 1st and 2nd all time favorite franchises respectively. But if there was one knock I always accepted with Street Fighter, it was that the story was lacking (tbf, 5 and 6 have put more effort into this area). And that said, one of my dark horse favorites has always been Soul Calibur, not just because of gameplay, but because I always liked the story. That's also part of what made Injustice so amazing.

When I put aside fighting games, 2K, platformers like Mario, etc. -- I love a good story lol. I would still say gameplay because it's the bulk of the game itself, but it's not the wide margin I originally thought, and a good story can take a game from good to great.

@indomitableregal: I've thought What if... is canon.

The inconsistencies are not that miniscule IMO, at least if we include What if... I've just came with the idea of it being magic because there's no other way to explain it but I agree that it wasn't indicated in the movie.

Well let me rephrase. What If is canon in the sense that it takes place in the greater multiverse. But it's not the main timeline, so I still wouldn't take the characters as being exact one-to-one. And I wouldn't try using that to counter a movie that came out 7 years prior to it either. I think this is one of those situations where it would have to be proven that there is magic involved as opposed to proven that there wasn't.
