U can't crush iceman and beat him....nor will melting him give hal a win either.
Melting Iceman wont kill him, but it will definitely KO him for a time being. KO is a legal option to win.

iceman don't have to hit GL with a ice beam to freeze him. He can freeze the moisture around GL or in his body with a thought.

Yes it will, especially if Green Lantern keep melting and melting and keeps the heat on Iceman for along period of time, it would be a big KO there.
