Furthermore, I'd rather not see the X-Men movies reboot and conform to slavishly obeying the comics and becoming another generic schlocky Superhero movie franchise to appease overly spoiled comic book fans. I liked when they were concerned with making legitimately good films first, using the comics as a guide.

The X-Men movies seem about as comic accurate as the MCU films to me. The tone of the movies often match the tone of the comics. Check out this video from Chris Claremont:

I like the line where he says; "The X-Men have never been about costumes punching each other."

It's supposed to come out on November 30th.

I haven't read the last couple issues, so I don't know what is going on.

They probably should do somthing to fix it. Maybe reboot, recast, and rebuild the X-Men in the world of Deadpool. It don't really bother me, but it should bother Fox. When the reviews of X-Men: Apocalypse first came out, a good portion of the early critics were bashing it for messing up the timeline of the original movies. Like they didn't understand that Days of Future Past hit a reset button on the franchise. Even saw the same thing on some of the user reviews for the movie on this site.
