Watching Gotham just makes me want the show that Kevin Smith and Paul Dini came up with on episode 51 of Fat Man on Batman. It was about a teenage Bruce Wayne going to boarding school, roommate with a young Harvey Dent going around solving crimes. Man, that would been such a better show.

@lurkero: Agreed but it's not really the case here. Damian was supposed to die at the end of the 4 issue mini-series Batman and Son where he first appeared but Grant Morrison liked the character and kept him around and killed him off later. I believe Grant said he wanted him dead but it seems DC has decided to step in and bring him back. I don't think this is really a writer thing as much as editorial.

That Jennifer Blood cover is pretty bad for a few reasons, but come on the anatomy doesn't make any sense, how can she contort herself into the position and still be able to stand?

@kivatt: Agreed on the logo, I like the basic design but the outer glow and gradient do leave a little bit to be desired.

@mynameiswill: Ok maybe not 50's and 60's but most have to be pushing thirty in the series, so let's 40's and maybe a few in their 50's.

So let me get this straight. By the time Bruce grows up to be Batman all of his villains are going to be in there 50's and maybe 60's?

This is a great article and a well timed one. I'm a graphic artist that works for a large food machine manufactuer and I've been toying with the idea of starting a comic/hobby gaming store on and off for about four years now. I've gotten much more serious about it and it may become a reality by the spring of next year. There's a lot of great stuff to think about in this article and I'm glad to say none of it surprised me to much so I must have pretty good idea of what to expect.

A tales form the shop weekly article would be a great read by the way.

This is the best Spider comic I've read in a long time, I loved it. They have to find a way to make this an ongoing series.
