I guess the question was kind of rhetorical.  I know why you lock threads.  When it starts to carry over into people's blogs, though, I'd call that trigger-happy and yeah, a little Nazi-ish, Red.  You're the boss, though.  I know.  If I don't like it, I can leave, yadda, yadda, yadda.  So, I guess I will.  This is a good indication that the forum is no longer for me.  There's a quote often attributed to Thomas Jefferson ("best, least") that applies here, but I don't wish to start a big, ugly fight.  No hard feelings.  Best of luck to the site and everyone in it in the future.

If you see something that says "Blog post" in parentheses, and it's locked... that's one that I'm talking about.

Isn't that taking things a little too far?  How do you justify that?  It's someone's blog.  I could understand if there was profanity in it or something, but that's not the case.  Sure this is going to be locked to.  Between that and everybody complaining about things in the Off-Topic forum being, well... off topic, I'm not really sure I get this place anymore.  That's all.

Yeah, I dunno if the death penalty is appropriate here, IMO.  I'm usually all for it, but when it's this messed up, and this is 100 out of 100, she's gotta' just be completely insane.  Basically everyone at the scene is in therapy now.

How about Ping Pong ? "

I'm terrible at ping pong, but it is fun to watch the pros for a few minutes.  Those guys play like 25 feet from the table! lol

Doesn't matter.  The Bears have a good, young QB.  You may have to be from Chicago to fully understand what that means.  That you're even asking that question is a good sign.  Did you ask who Craig Krenzel had to throw the ball to?  Henry Burris?  Jonathan Quinn?  Of course you didn't!  You probably don't even remember them.  There have been a lot of Bears teams who have done very well with QB's who shouldn't have even been in the league.  Now they have a young stud.  If you're right, and he has nobody to throw the ball to, guess what?  They still might make the playoffs! They could suck, but next year... they'll have Jay Cutler again!  This may seem like nothing to you, but to a Bears fan, it's a new experience.

They've been trying to find a frachise QB since the 40's, to tell you the truth.  McMahon was great and won a Super Bowl, but he was barely ever healthy.  Now, Instead of 50 years of searching behind them, they have the promise of at least a handful of years of Cutler in front of them.  They can stop wasting time on that and build around him.

...and don't count out the receivers.  Now that they have someone to throw TO them, they might surprise you.  They have the fastest guy on the field for Cutler's cannon, one of the best TE tandems in the league, and Forte catching the ball out of the backfield.  We know that much.  You can make a pretty good game plan with that.  Nobody's saying Cutler has to throw for 4,000 yards.  We're still the Bears.
