*sigh* my love for Hercules, wish he was getting a solo again, battles with my dislike for much of this team...If only it was Thor Odinson and Steve Rogers it would've be an auto buy for me...

@mark_stephen: I hear ya, for me it makes me not like the rest of the illuminati even more and makes me understand even less why everyone else likes them so much. They were cowards, quiters, and didn't have to stones to ask for help etc... I'm a Namor fan but even if I wasn't that's part of why I respect him, yes it was horrible what he did, but he did something, he tried etc etc

As for the SS, it being pure vengeance and murder makes is what makes it so stupid and unacceptable even more for me and makes it not Justice. They are angry and lashing out? What are they 5?

And yes it'd be nicer if they had a tighter continuity in comics but it'll never happen to many titles and too many writers and too many people who just want to ignore things and "make it their own" etc

It does seem a bit like yeah we get it Atlantis is your go too, but come on now. asfor rebuilding.....well maybe they have short pregnancys and fast growth haha

@mark_stephen: again on the Namor characterization part agree to disagree.

As for Hickman and co. making them all look terrible and placing them into no win situations etc etc I agree, were they missed was that in those situations the Heroes are supposed to end up finding a solution and solving it and being a hero etc...

And the SS, hmm not an odd choice for abbreviations huh, doing the destroyed worlds a favor by murdering Namor and his people is total bunk. All it did was make them friggin hypocrites of the highest degree. Oh they won't be forgotten like black Goliath and the mutants again bunk they will be forgotten by the end of the year if not already.

And again let's be honest they are not going to kill the other illuminati members for their rolls in it because Marvel has a hard on for half those Mary Sues like Black Panther.

@mark_stephen: agree to disagree good sir. The way it was presented, the dialogue, the way he was drawn very clearly shows Namor took no pleasure in what he did and he eventually chooses to let an alternate reality Reed and Sue have the choice and he fights Thanos intending to die. I would have to go back and read the issue but if I remember correctly he talks about how much he respects Reed etc...

And yes you are right he did do it, he killed people to save people. It's a horrendous decision that he came to regret, but all the illuminati killed worlds, so I will assume you think they and all there people deserve death as well?

@mark_stephen: Namor regretted his actions, even giving one worlds Reed and Sue the option of what to do when he stood up to Thanos. Also everything Namor did was for the people he loved and he just saw It as the only way left to try and save at least one world.

If you think he took pleasure in killing Sue you were not reading the same story everyone else was. He would seek out Sue and kill her himself to save her the pain and violence from the Cabal

@hectoruno: I'm not saying morally what the illuminati did was right, killing entire planets inhabited by people is in and of itself horrendous and wrong, but that being said it becomes an arguement of if acceptable losses. Some have die so others can live. Again in a purely moral sense it's not right, but if they hadn't done it they would not have bought Doom and everyone enough time to save everyone in the end, so while horrific the ends justified the means in this situation

@jonny_anonymous: you are correct, I misspoke about the planets/realities etc being destroyed.

And I don't think the illuminati were villains on the contrary I was defending Namor's and company's actions. I was simply saying that it's redicolous for people to say Namor deserves it or that he was "so much worse" than the other members of the illuminati.

@wowlock: yeah I'd rather donkey kick myself than read the Special Snowflake Force aka the Ultimates. The irony of the Squadron Supreme deciding on there own that Namor of all people must die is hilariously hypocrtical of them as that's what they are condemning him to death for.

Namor tried to save us all while the other limp wristed members of the illuminati gave up and condemned us al the die.

When I first heard about this I was pretty interested as I liked Hickman's Hyperion, but with this nonsense going on it has become a hard pass. I love me some Namor and to see him thrown away in this manor is just such a horrible disappointment. Giving the rest of the self righteous illuminati a pass as well is even more disappointing, but Black Panther and company are special snowflakes.
