Depending on what you count as a copy, Martian Manhunter, Mr. Majestic, Plutonian, Supreme, could all be contenders.

@hellothere5432: @zetsu-san: Great I’ll get cracking on this, but I was asking more time wise rather than post count. I’m with the extended family this week for thanksgiving so I may be slow.

@eredin12: if you are claiming Naruto is hundreds of times FTL, then I don’t think we will be able to make progress here, that’s just way out of line from what I got from watching Naruto.

@eredin12: Seems we might have a similar problem that ProfessorRespect and I did above. I tend to think the fight being morals off means a lot of Clark and J’onn’s higher end feats become applicable, because the debate of whether it’s consistent or in-character to use abilities like FTL combat and such go out the window.

I agree Superman is basically a brick most of the time he’s in character, but out of character he’s faster, hits harder, and will use the full scope of abilities.

@eredin12: Your right I may have been hasty to say Superman can solo, though I do think he can take either 1v1. Seems we both agree Manhunter can?

@professorrespect: Good points but I still disagree, I’m away from my computer rn but I’d like to pick up this discussion on speed consistency when I when I can.

@professorrespect:

I see where you are coming from, but I can't say I agree. In my mind it is clear that post-crisis Martian Manhunter is meant to have significant super-speed capabilities, regardless of whether actually using it is consistent or in character. For example, one of the feats I was referencing was JLA #2:

No Caption Provided

Here J'onn, Superman, Flash, and Wonder Woman capable of bypassing mind-reading devices by being "faster than thought". On top of this they have an entire conversation in between syllables of Big Barda speaking. This is a pretty clear indicator to me that J'onn is intended to be amongst the other characters in this feat at the upper-echelon of DC's speed-tier (not saying he's Wally West or anything but you get what I mean). If this wasn't the case, he would be one of the frozen characters like Orion, Barda, or Kyle Rayner.

White Martians are incredibly inconsistent and have been outpaced by Aquaman and others in combat. Even a specific speedster Martian was complete fodder to Wally when he got properly serious.

Fair point, however in the specific instance I am referring to J'onn blitzes multiple different White Martians, each stationed at different parts of the globe and destroys the towers they are guarding, all in a few seconds.

Even just navigating the globe and taking out specific targets in such a short time is something I am not sure Naruto or Sasuke could replicate. Much less when you factor in the people being blitzed are at least supersonic (I think we could agree that's a fair low-end speed for a White Martian?).

I can't remember where exactly this feat is from, but if I find it I will post it as well.

There's no Lantern that's FTL, this is nonsense. You can pick out VERY specific showings unless you are a speedster, this isn't a reality for them.

I am confused, are you saying no characters that aren't "speedsters" have FTL abilities? I would strongly disagree with that. Aside from the obvious travel speed feats like being able to navigate deep space, many Lanterns have feats of tagging speedsters and high-speed moving targets.

As we know from Flash:Rebirth, matching Barry's casual speeds is nothing special. I can count the many characters that have tagged him at those speeds as well that aren't very fast.

Actually, it wasn't Barry's casual speed at all. I am referring to Hourman #6 when the Joker uses powers from Kanjar-Ro's Aranna Rays to brainwash Martian Manhunter and Barry Allen into fighting to the death. They are basically blood-lusted and trade blows at high-speeds.

Statements are limited in range when the feats don't really match that reality.

Again I should've cited the instance I was referring to beforehand, because it is half a statement and half an actual feat. My bad.

Basically Weather Wizard has a giant glacier about to drop on a civilian area and Wally destroys the ice buy shifting from light-speed to super-sonic, disrupting it's structure. During this span of a few seconds tops Martian Manhunter defeats Weather Wizards, takes him to jail, and is back in time to catch Wally before he falls. Mind you it is possible that this was actually mere fractions of a second given Wally was peaking at light-speed during the scene. It is after all this that Wally notes "damn that was fast" in regards to MMH's speed.

Travel speed, but I think you know that.

Yes, but I think travel speed is underrated and wrongfully disregarded. Many blitzes in comics are someone with high travel speed flying head first at an enemy and doing significant damage. The ability to cover a lot of ground instantly is a huge asset in my opinion, especially when MMH also has incredible mental processing speeds to go along with it.

Surprised this thread doesn't have more DC downplay.

Anyway, morals off DC duo blitz hard

>J'onn

>blitz hard

Lol. Come on guys. We can do better than this.

I know blitzing isn't his style, but this is morals off and J'onn's speed has been shown to rival the League's fastest members when he actually uses it. He's blitzed White Martians when other Leaguers like Superman and GL weren't capable of doing so, completely statued FTL characters like Lanterns, matched Barry Allen in speed, been acknowledge as being incredibly fast by Wally West, traveled extensive lightyears in brief time periods, etc. I can provide scans if you're interested.

On topic: I think there is a strong argument for either DC hero to solo.
