No escape from Spider-Verse 1

I was excited about spider-verse when it was announced because it was described as if alternate spideys would team up and fight a common enemy. Like an awesome action crossover!Instead, we got a meat grinder event where it's just characters getting brutally killed over and over again. I read spider-man 2099 because it's a fun series with interesting characters and scenarios. This issue however was just a depressing mess. You don't bring back old characters just to kill them off brutally. Seeing...

Welcome back, Miggy! 1

It's nice to see Miguel O'Hara back in the comics again and this is a good start to a new series. We're introduced to the new environment that Miguel's in and see some potential for new challenges and enemies that Miguel will face in the series. This is a good first issue and it does make you want to read more. I'd recommend this book to anyone who was a fan of the Spider-man 2099 90's run. You will not be disappointed....

two words: Character derailment 0

The fact that Gwen Stacy slept with Norman Osborn just ruins this entire storyline for me. Not only did she cheat on Peter, but she cheated on him with a 40-50 year old man. Did Norman really need anymore motivation to kill Gwen other than to piss Peter off? Let's not forget that she's friends with Harry Osborn, meaning that she slept with her friend's father!...

So much fun! 0

This issue is great, not just for spideypool shippers but for anyone who needs a good laugh or cheering up. It's nice to have light and fun comic adventures out there and this is a big recommendation to both deadpool and spider-man fans. It's always funny to watch Deadpool impersonate our favorite web-slinger and after the Superior Spider-man arc, I think Peter needs a bit more cheerfulness in his life again....

Poor Kaine 0

This issue was painful to read mostly because we have to watch Kaine suffer and think that his own brother hates him. This ruins it for me because Kaine had made some great progress before this point and this sets it back again. All this shows is Otto is a clonaphobe(not sure if that's a real word but whatever) and shows him damaging another relationship that Peter had built with Kaine....

Not a big fan of the ending 0

As nice as it is to have Peter Parker back, I still have a problem with the ending. I don't have any sympathy for Otto and felt that he should've had more punishment. After all, he killed an innocent man and stole his body and life...TWICE! Let's not forget how he also ruined Peter's relationships and felt little to no remorse throughout the series. My biggest problem is Mary Jane leaving because "she can't handle Peter's superhero lifestyle". We've dealt with this so many times before and it's...
