It really doesn't matter. Perry White is black, Jimmy Olsen is black on TV...it's all good to me. Deadshot is black...it's not a big deal. It would only bother me if they tried to make like Black Widow black or Latino cause it's a character who's clearly meant to be Russian/White. Sides that a lot of these characters only became white cause they were made during a time where all characters were white...

I don't care about her race or her skin color, but for me Mary Jane has red hair. I'm going to guess at this point, we'd know if the production team gave her red hair. However, I think it would have been entirely possible as Rihanna has shown.
And, originally people thought she was playing Michele Gonzales which I think would have been more interesting since we've seen Mary Jane already.
This seems clever in a real clickbaity way, it feels like they intentionally took a character whose defining physical attribute was having red hair and changing it to someone who is unlikely to have it.
I also think we are the stage where point out to people who love there PC that it's not really diversity, just marketing because the gap between the amount of blacks being added vs the extremely large demographics of asian and middle eastern is fairly apparent, I'm struggling to even think of any, I know they added an asian to the Magnificent Seven.
I will say that MJ falls in that iconic, recognizable category that should be adapted as close as possible to the source material so i'm not too keen on Zendaya right now.

Yet the same people were giving FOX a ton of sh*t for changing the race of the Human Torch, and giving DC sh*t for changing Iris West from White to Black.
By god except Holland's casting every piece of news coming out for this movie has been mediocre to disappointing so far! I was so rooting for Spider-man movie from marvel and now slowly and slowly I'm getting indifferent if this movie fails.
Couldn't really be that hard to find a fitting white actress to play the character, could it be Disney? But nope, they had to cash it in to garner attention for the face of their newest teenage products. Sure most moviegoers don't care, blacks will like it and the pc crowd will swallow and defend it so who needs handful of nerds that care about integrity? This sucks! Hope this turns out to be only a rumor.
What's up with turning all these white characters black nowadays. We already had a bad portrayal of MJ with Dunst..I find appearance to be just as important as acting. I would've grabbed Chloe Moretz and dyed her hair red myself.

MJ is my favorite female character, I´m seriously really angry right now, I´m tired of Disney and their PC sh*t, and I am glad Portman isn´t returning, she and Darcy were one of the worst things in the Thor movies.
