Since Donald Trump was pre-deciding that election fraud was going to happen, and the conspiracy theories that were molded to fit his vision, it is pretty safe to say it was not born well.

Don't give in to the easy answers so quickly. Ultimately that is a sucker's bet.

You are right that there always has been and always will be corruption and bad actors on both sides. Humans are going to be humans.

That said, both sides do NOT have media calling for the kidnapping and/or execution of elected executives and/or lawmakers. Both sides did NOT attempt an armed insurrection 6 days ago with the intent to overturn the votes of America.

Those people were claiming they wanted to execute Mike Pence. When doors were shut against them or locked, they bashed them in with force. Some came in armed. There were thousands of them. Five people actually died.

I'm not really finding the humor.

So, what happened to the armed citizens who were going out to help the police protect law & order? Who watches THOSE watchmen?

Well, I certainly hope it never again gets as bad as this week. Our president incited an armed insurrection. A violent mob murdered a police officer while storming the capitol with the intent to murder lawmakers and the Vice-President.

I am not sure. I saw multiple websites all reporting the FBI warning about potential protests in all 50 capitols. Maybe this is where the FBI is getting its information. I presume from more than that, but I do not know.

So, for anyone plugged into conservative outrage media, can we expect another capitol building invasion on January 20th? Can we expect any state capitol rioting or destruction?

The FBI just sent out a warning to expect this kind of thing in all state capitols.

That is a leap.

Joe Biden said, over and over again, in no uncertain terms, very publicly that rioters and looters were criminals.

Donald Trump tepidly tweeted once that people should be peaceful. It was very vague and much, much weaker than Biden's statements about the rioters and looters.

There is not an equivalence, at least not yet. I don't expect there will ever be, because Donald Trump will never forcefully condemn people who waved a flag with his name while occupying the capitol building.

Say what you will about the scumbaggery of the rioters and looters, but they didn't wave a flag with Biden's name over a seat of government power.

It wasn't the first time I said it, but I get how valuable that straw man is to you guys.
