I've recently become a comic book fan (mid-way through 2014), picking up the first two volumes of Nightwing (the new 52) and becoming completely enthralled by the story telling (Kyle Higgins) and art (Eddy Barrows). I read them both from cover to cover one after the other, then returned to the local comic book store as soon as I could and purchased more comics (Batman (Vol 1-3), more Nightwing (Vol 3, 4), Red Hood and the Outlaws (Vol 1-4) and The Joker Death of the Family Collection) and doing the same with them. Then started expanding my collection with more DC titles such as;
The Flash (Vol 1), Constantine (Vol 1, 2), SuperBoy (Vol 1) and Justice League Dark (Vol 1). As i read all of what i had and was/am waiting for my orders, i started buying Marvel comics (Minimal Carnage, Guardians of the Galaxy: Galaxy's Most Wanted (issues #1) and Deadpool (Vol 1-5). As i have read comics when i was a lot younger (Transformers (I had Vol 1 of a reboot that started around 2004-2006, not sure when), Spider-Man vs. Venom and Carnage, Planetoid, Cowboy Ninja Viking and Sonic Adventures (1990s series)) I hadn't really read a phsycial comic since Transformers (2004-2006, not sure when exactly). But I've had kept in the loop by myself or from friends about various happening in the comic book world of DC and Marvel.
I like to think i know quite a bit about the DCU and Marvel Universe, but not everything and am happy to discuss character's/writer's/artist's from the comics I have read but other then that, no spoilers please. I prefer to buy volumes instead of issues because i like having wholes story arc instead of episodes of them. If you have views or opinions about any of the comics I've read I'd be happy to discuss them.
