The Avengers, X-Men and FF of the Future - 'Avengers: Justice for All'

In an America where heroes are banned, having powers can mean prison or drafting, mutants are illegal, Norman Osborne polices the country with a dark incarnation of the Avengers, and heroes like Captain America, Iron Man and Thor have disappeared - the Golden-Age is truly over. Civilian casualties, disasters, and violence rule the streets whilst bigotry and mistrust divide the people.

However, not all hope is lost. A few aspiration young figures inherited the dreams and ethics of their virtuous predecessors, and will go on to form the new Superhuman Community and challenge the powerful Dark Avengers. Without the presence of their mentors, they will be united and led instead by a mysterious young man whose aims might not be as honest as they seem.

List items

  • Eli Bradley fights oppression on the streets with his group 'The Patriots', but has abandoned the ethics his father, grandfather, and mentors Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes once stood for. He lives up to their legacy by eventually taking on the mantle of 'Captain America'.

  • The mysterious 'Excello' - an tech saboteur undermining the Dark Avengers at every turn - is revealed to be an adult Amadeus Cho. He helps plan strategies to undo the turmoil of Osborne's Avengers, and is smart enough to outmanoeuvre Osborne himself. The optimism of Hercules fuels his endeavours.

  • Jenny Takada had a troubled upbringing, her powers and abuse by Norman Osborne causing her severe trauma. For a time she was trained to succeed the Avengers, learning to control her powers and learning morality, but since the disappearance of her mentors she and a few companions have been sheltering human-mutates from the forces of H.A.M.M.E.R. She joins the resistance out of a need for vengeance against Norman Osborne, donning a suit that allows her to better control her powers and the Hero name 'Fallout'.

  • Having previously saved the mutants from the brink of extinction and extinguishing the malevolent phoenix force, 'Hope' Summers is a legend among Mutants. Possessing the ability to copy and recall abilities of those around her, Hope is an experienced fighter and survivor thanks to her father, Cable. She will have to put her cooperation and leadership skills to the test however, as the only way to win against the Dark Avengers is to reform the X-Men.

  • Quentin 'Omega' Quire is an extremely powerful psionic mutant with an extremist, confident yet idealistic attitude. Once an anti-authoritarian and immature child, Quentin has grown to become wise, accepting that even in the face of ultimate prejudice there is hope for mutants, making him the successor of Scott Summers and the a disciple of Charles Xavier's dream. However, he still despises authority figures and is eager to smash the current power-system by reforming the X-Men.

  • Laura Kinney Howlett - or X-23 - was a student of Xavier's institute and appretice under James Howlett, the original Wolverine and her Father. After the attack on the mutant populace by the Dark Avengers and disappearance/presumed death of her Father, Laura rampaged into exile and lives secluded from society. However, to truly heal her wounds and reclaim her sanity, she will rejoin the new X-Men to fight against those that once harmed her as the new 'Wolverine'.

  • A goofball with the ability to nullify superhuman abilities, which he has perfected after some training. His carefree and jovial attitude is reminiscent of Johnny Storm and Scott Lang, both of whom he admired. He lives with the Future Foundation.

  • An optimistic and introverted young Mutant and friend of Leech, Artie often acts as the mediator between conflicts in the FF, always approaching problems with a level head.

  • An aged LMD of the previous head of S.H.I.E.L.D, Old Man Fury provides training, resources and experience to the allies united in fighting the Dark Avengers. Stubborn and grim in his age, he is a difficult but ultimately valuable taskmaster.

  • The faithful robotic servant to the one who commands the Watchtower, CLOC provides the new Sentry with information, hacking, surveillance and tactics. Though often blunt and sarcastic, he and his new master have grown a strong friendship.

  • The story of the first Golden-Age Superhero is known to little, as he was also the first Supervillain. Robert 'Bob' Reynolds gave up being a superhero to save the world from himself, erasing 'The Sentry' from existence. Now, as an older and wiser man, he passes on the power of the Sentry to another for two reasons: he wishes to be able to age and eventually die, and to teach another in the ways of his power in the hopes they can bring back the virtue of Heroes.

  • The spirit of the original Watchdog lives on in Ghost - a white siberian husky - who has been imbued with many molecule-altering powers of the Sentry, such as; Flight, Teleportation, Durability, Sizeshifting, Shapeshifting, and Energy Projection. His favourite treats are 'Sentry-Snax' and he can be summoned by a specific whistle.
