I think comics all ways walk the line between breaking their own reality and interfering with a suspension of disbelief. Another words, if we don't take comics seriously then they are ALL a bad joke. And then, what's the point?
Some panels I love, others.... I think maybe his face needs to be drawn a little more consistently. I STILL can't wait to read the full issue. Action Comics is great, no reason to believe this one will be any different.
I think people need to stop looking at entertainment media; whether it be music, movies, video games, or books like money making ventures that can suffer piracy without problem. In the state of the world today, perhaps the stars of these ventures won't be hurt but everyone working on them will definitely be. Therefore, eventually, seriously increasing the price of the products and then reducing their existence completely. If you love comics, you must buy them. Just like any of the other media I've mentioned. Otherwise, you can't complain when it goes away. Because in the end, it's all just business.
So there was a lot of talk about this being a prequel rather than a reboot. Does anyone else think that is the intent? Because as all ready has been pointed out this seems like quite a ways to go back if your starting the series over.
I can't wait to see what kind of new direction this means for the books. It will be either the greatest thing to have happened in the last ten years or the worst. :)
Personally, I really love the show. While it isn't exactly what I was hoping for from a new TV series about Super Heroes. But it IS really good once you get past WASP being hyper sexualized. Also, the whole tone of the show is a little immature. But then, it IS probably meant for children, which is why the WASP thing is really disturbing. LOL!
