Fan Spotlight #3: The Force Awakens Edition

Hi, guys! Welcome to the third edition of Fan Spotlight, where I look for and pick out some awesome recent fandom content that I think should be showcased here.

Since The Force Awakens came out a couple of weeks ago, the internet has pretty much blown up with new content, and I wanted to post some pretty cool things I saw this week.

III. Old Meets New

So after the movie came out there have been, inevitably, many comparisons between the characters of the original trilogy and the new one. This video lets the characters from The Force Awakens meet their Original Trilogy counterparts and lets us watch their amusing interactions.

II. The Force Awakens Speed Run

Want to watch The Force Awakens again and don't have the time? Have an annoying friend who you want to force to watch The Force Awakens but they keep giving you stupid excuses not to? Even if non of these cases apply to you, you should still check out this awesome speedrun, that somehow manages to miraculously sum up a 2.26 hour movie in only 1 adorable minute.

I. DIY BB-8

Who doesn't want their own personal BB-8? Everyone would like one. The only difference is how you get it. While the majority of us would just go to a store, others are busy building their own from scratch:

(A/N: The bottom video is roughly 20 minutes long. So if you don't have the time, you can still check out dry run video on top, which showcases some of the machine's movement.)

A/N: Of course, I would like to expand beyond the usual sources for new content. If you (or someone you know) want to send anything for me to add to my next blog post, feel free to PM me with a link.

Season 2 of Jessica Jones Offical

No Caption Provided

Netflix has announced at the Television Critics Association Press tour that they are officially commissioning an additional season of Jessica Jones.

It has been confirmed that like the first, this season will have 13 episodes. Unfortunately, there isn't any additional information about when it will premier or what new characters it will feature.

What do you guys think? Who would you like to make an appearance?

Fan Spotlight #2: Hulkbuster and a Bunch of Heroes walk into a bar...

And order a Pepsi Perfect.

Hi guys! Welcome to the second edition of Fan Spotlight. This new blog will be all about promoting new notable fan-created content (such as, videos, art, comics, fanfiction, cosplay... etc) in various fandoms.

So- exciting news for Back to the Future fans! In order to celebrate the date in which Marty McFly will supposedly land in our time, Pepsi has actually released a physical version of "Pepsi Perfect". Hardcore fans should go to their website if they're interested to buy a bottle. The rest of us, however, still have this somewhat amusing commercial.

Hulkbuster Cosplay:

In a another corner of the web, we have this awesome guy, who crafted a nearly 10-foot-tall/3 meter version of the Hulkbuster suit. The entire process roughly took him 1600 hours (that's a little more than 2 months). You can check it out in the video below:

The Hero's Journey:

This next animated video takes a look at the different stages the average protagonist goes through during his story. Those of you who frequent TV Tropes might recognize some aspects, while those poor saps who don't might get some insight into the various stages of the hero's development. Either way, you'll probably enjoy the animation (Keep your eye peeled for some familiar faces!)

A/N: Of course, I would like to expand beyond the usual sources for new content. If you (or someone you know) want to send anything for me to add to my next blog post, feel free to PM me with a link.
