How about this? The second ending I viewed changes the way we view the galactic history from Episode IV forward, due to Vader's untilmely death at the gamer's hands.
Now see... God of War didn't rate all that high on my give-a-crap meter Maybe our preferences differ so greatly that the game expectations are just going to be too dissimilar for us both.
Personally, I'm still waiting on a game that allows the user to free-roam in an enviornment similar to the Grand Theft Auto but with an outbreak happening at the same time like a Resident Evil game or something like that. To me that would just be awesome. Whether the game user is a Joe Schmoe Punisher-type guy or some maffia up-n-comer, or even some Superhero/Jedi dude... I don't really care. I just want to be able to free roam through a city that's steadily filling up with zombies!
Where's a game designer when you need one? I don't want money or credit... I just want the game!! :))
"you could always go used....or the 40gb ps3 is on sale at blockbusters since they don't make them anymore you should be able to get one pretty cheap" -Dan Himself ______________ LOL...m'kay...maybe I'll ask Santa.
"...it was a pretty decent game it was only worth 1 play through for me the gameplay wasnt all that engaging since you couldnt half of the combos you learned on bosses or most of the Villians (the mech guys with laserswords and rockets)..." -Swagga Boy ______________
I agree somewhat... a practice arena would've been nice, but playing through more than once is what really got my force juices flowing, if you know what I mean.
"I prefer them to bring out KotOR or Jedi knights games because you can create your own Jedi with the type of Lightsaber you want." -Swagga Boy ______________ Sounds cool! I'd buy that!
"IMO its a Rent not a buy." -Swagga Boy ______________
I TOTALLY disagree... the alternate endings alone make it a "gotta own" for me. IMO... of course! :)
"ps2? get with the times....get a ps3 or a 360....c'mon both systems have had great price drops" -Dan Himself __________________
LOL... gimme a break... I got twin 8 year old sons and a 3 year old boy who have the jedi ability of soaking up my funds as fast as possible! I'm thankful to have a working PS2 all to myself in my house.
Sweet thread... I've been gone a few months... but it looks like someone's been upholding the Adam Warlock torch in my absence.
Excellent.
I like the new Adam, but I'll always compare a new writer/artist's version to the classic Jim Starlin run... and as of right now, Starlin still wins. :)
But I'm right here digging on this new stuff... hoping for a spin-off... and a movie deal... LOL. Where's Avi Arad's phone number??
Spoiler Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . I said SPOILER Warning!! . . . . . . . . . Okay... don't blame me when you read the following and it ruined it for you.....
Okay, let's get to it.......
Star Wars : The Force Unleashed
I have it on PS2 [Yeah... I know... I know.....] and all I can say is WOW! It more than exceeded my expectations! I played it through a few times now and have only seen two of the endings [no, I don't know how many there are, yet]. The gameplay is natural and the moves uncomplicated enough that even I can demonstrate some Jedi/Sith asskickin'!! The story was way cool and the graphics [while i'm SURE they're better on the Ps3 version (mummble/grummble)] were still quite spectacular on my PS2. The apprentice point of view in this game totally rocks! And the ascension? Fugetabout it... it was just... wow.
I'm curious, though, to hear what the rest of you thought about it.
"Big adventure and high action? They can just keep making those Mummy movies and I'll keep watching them. And since Indiana is back, I get two historically inacurate adventure flicks this year! Woohoo!!"
Nice... :) yay for being inaccurate! Some people seem to accel at that."
Wow. Please pardon my erroneous grammatics in the previous post, your highness. T'wont happen ag'in.
