Glad to see her back, shame she's not alongside Emma though, I always liked their interactions.

Take away the Nightcrawler bits, which were amazing, and the book was almost like just another terrible issue of WatX but with gorgeous art. So yes, quite meh,

I felt like this a bit, but I also felt like it was much better written than most issues of WatX-men (which, I agree, is not a very good book).

It's like the best issue of WatX-men, but as you say, also has Nightcrawler and gorgeous art. I'm not arguing with you're opinion, not everything's for everyone, but I found it really refreshing and fun.

It could be the fact that I also don't care that much about Storm or Logan, Rachel, which I do like is probably going to be quite secondary, but if he keeps writing Kurt just like this first issue, then I will give the book a chance (unlike WatXM) because, like I said, those bits, dialogue and the incredible art (up there with, or even better than ANXM I may say) really saved what otherwise would've been just another issue of WatXM.

does it really matter, we lost the old jean, emma tried to fill her shoes & lost now we have a new jean that i hope can redeem the old one. i like emma & all but she was nothing more than a plot prop to advance cyclops as well as the x-men overall into a more darker team. emma helped to break the x-men down from the inside her motives became alil clearer while she was a phoenix five member

Not really. The X-Men split up during Schism, and the only ones to blame are Scott and Logan and their eternal high school cheerleader's feud.

Brian Wood's the absolute best. I love him. A bit annoyed that the 'Resurrection' teaser wasn't going to be another Wood title, but this is totes great. He, Hopeless and Spurrier must stay in the X-Verse for YEARS to come.

Agreed. He deserves another book.

The unnamed villain is probably Madelyne.

Anyone but Bendis or Aaron.

But seriously, Wood is doing way better than Bendis and Aaron put together, he certainly deserves more credit and attentions, instead of those two buffoons.

I'm not really picky when it comes to comics, to be honest I'm quite new and did enjoy most X-Men material I've been reading, that's until Marvel NOW came. I don't like Bendis, but even I enjoyed some of his work AND events... I did like AvX and even House of M, both greatly criticized over the Internet, but this... This was too much, nothing happened, at all. Too much time travel, too many unnecessary "new" characters wasting screen time while many other beloved characters were left for wallpaper material, and by the end we got NOTHING. AT. ALL.

Only "big change" that we got was Kitty leaving the looser's squad an joining UXM, and even if I like Kitty, that's not a change that deserves to be served as an event, specially not one who was self-proclaimed as the "biggest X-Men event". Biggest joke so far.

Also, with events like Forever Evil and Infinity going on right now, BotA looked even worse by comparison.
