WWHULK #1 Sells Out and Goes Back to Press

Seems lots of comics have been selling out lately.  That's a good thing.  Buuuut, my problem with these "new"covers is they just simply take interior art.  I get that they want to use a different cover to distinguish between the two and to give some people a choice.  It just doesn't seem that big of a deal to me.  It doesn't seem like a true "variant," but don't get me started on those.  I just hope the fact that comics are selling out more frequently means that more people are actually buying and reading them.

Marvel is proud to announce that WORLD WAR HULK #1 has sold out at Diamond (though copies may still be available at the retail level). Fear not, if you haven’t gotten your copy of this “incredible” summer blockbuster, Marvel is going back to press with a variant cover of superstar artist John Romita Jr.’s interior art.

Written by Greg Pak with pencils by John Romita Jr., WORLD WAR HULK #1 finds the Hulk returning from a distant planet looking for revenge on those who exiled him. Upon his return, a battle of epic proportions ensues, forcing the two estranged Avengers teams to ally and face the Green Goliath and his “Warbound” army.

Richard George of IGN.com calls WORLD WAR HULK #1 a “must read,” calling John Romita Jr.’s art on the book “absolutely genius.”

“WORLD WAR HULK #1 kicked twelve kinds of @$$!” says Troy Brownfield of Newsarama.com. Going on to call WORLD WAR HULK #1, “over-the-top, action-packed, and entertaining.”

Simply put, WORLD WAR HULK #1 is a Marvel must read, which kicks off a pulse-pounding gamma-irradiated event which will have momentous repercussions throughout the Marvel Universe. If you haven’t read WORLD WAR HULK #1, be sure to pick up the second printing featuring a variant cover by John Romita Jr.
