Have we seen this before? 0

Back in the 80s, there was a vote on whether or not Robin should die. And the people who wanted Robin to die won with a narrow victory. The past couple issues have been developing an annoying Nightwing (Dick Grayson), a young person who is just there to annoy Batman and, intentionally, the audience. The set up is designed to make you happy if something would happen to Nightwing, like someone shooting him in the head. But Nightwing is a likeable character in a way, so killing him may not be the bes...

Love the direction we are heading with the story arc 0

I am not too familiar with Project Superpowers and this is the first chapter that I have subscribed too, so I have read issues 0, 1, and 2. And I am very much enjoying everything so far. The Project Superpowers are a likeable team, but the enemy is fierce, powerful, scary, and overwhelming. At the end of this issue, it doesn't look good. But I am expecting big things from the Project Superpowers. Ready for issue 3!...

Three Letters W, O, W, or is that Two letters? Well, either way, Wow! 0

This urban legend of the TMNT is epic and spectacular. The story arc, the coloring, the development of characters, the humor, the action all packed in a small package that has a powerful punch. Just when we all thought it was over, it looks like we are getting some more issues in this series. And everybody can't wait. ...

They did not lie 0

They did not lie when they told us there was going to be a an Aqualad epic.Sure the Superboy story is great, but what really makes this book is the Aqualad story that is extremely captivating, and convincing....Well, other than an old man walking in water playing with sharks...But, the story is convincing.Unfortunately, Superboy and Aqualad do not solve their problems in this issue. That will have to wait until next time. ...

Just Epic 0

There is not enough to be said for this amazing 1950s love classic. With the amazing short love stories and a stunning cover, that could arguable include a Batman reference.Unbelievable that they packed so much material in a ten cent book. Something we do not see enough of these days. The feature story, "Lesson in Love" is unforgettable and would be considered controversial if it was written today.Get this book! ...

It's a 4 star Spectacular 0

This includes a great Wonder Woman and an awesome Superboy/Supergirl comic stories. In this, Wonder Woman might lose a bet with Steve, which will force her to marry him. Also included in this book is story of how Superboy and Supergirl meet! This tale is epic and what makes this book worth having in your collection, if you don't have the original print. The Green Lantern story is what made this review not five stars. This story is definitely not a four star spectacular....

Exciting 0

Action comics is killing it right now and the storyline is filled with suspense and even moments that are scary. The bad guys are getting smarter and finding ways to communicate without getting the attention of the Man of Steel. Everyone seems to be scheming with hidden agendas, and who you can trust is often uncertain. But fortunately, the heroes of Superman and Batman can always be trusted. This issue was worth the price tag and I am happy to have this one in my collection. ...

A bang for your dime! 0

Wow for 10 cents, this book is a bargain.See back then, they definitely made sure you got your bang for your dime.A great Batman, Robin, and Superman adventure, and several other comics are included, which make this an action packed value!DC could learn a lot from what they did back then. ...

The one we have been waiting for? 0

I am really excited about this series and I expect great things to come in this series when all is said and done. The book was not what I believe most people would have expected. I was really hoping for an introduction issue to the sanctuary. I think they could have done a lot of things with that. Like some huge underground futuristic facility with all the amenities of a five-star resort, with the greatest staff money could buy, and all funding from Bruce Wayne himself...with an indoor spa, lux...

Good but will never be memorable 0

I enjoyed reading this book and I really love the concept.I really like the classic late 80s/early 90s comic style art, which gives it that authentic feel of watching some kind of cartoon from that time era. I do believe that they should have made this a double-sized issue to really lure you into the series. The book ends on a short note and yeah you want more, but you were expecting more in the first place.Issue 2 better be awesome or this serious will not last long....

Huge McDuck 0

The first appearance of Huge McDuck. Plus a good bit of Duck Tales action. This has two tales both portrayed in classic Duck Tales style. After reading this issue, I realize that these Duck Tales always have similar formulas even after all these years: Adventure in searching for treasure, then the characters are placed in what is an impossible situation to escape but you know they are going to escape, perhaps a lesson learned, a happy laugh, and credits. However, it is always enjoyable and IDW n...

Doesn't Get Much Better Than This 0

This is one of the greatest comics ever made. Sure this book is in black and white, but the inking is excellent enough that the lack of color is hardly noticeable. Of course, there are some cool extras like a mini-story in full color, another mini story, and TMNT concept art. The price has gone up a full quarter from the previous issue, and anyone who didn't buy this issue because of the price increase is probably kicking themselves right now. ...

Wow, what a great comic, a must have in all comic book collections 0

Avengers has been really weird lately, I mean so weird that sometimes you just can't even follow what is going on. Often the books seem to be a big pile of mumbo-jumbo put together and it can get very confusing. I believe the first few books in the series started that direction but they have definitely turned that around the last few issues. This awesome Ghost Rider origin story is extremely cool and fresh. The story line makes sense and is easy to follow, a rarity in the Avengers the past 10 ye...

Cool Concept, but... 0

This book has some cool art and gives a little bit of background on the history between Batman and Nightwing (Richard Grayson). I really like the whole concept of how they try to connect the present with the future. But after reading the book, you almost feel like it wasn't enough. The issue feels like it was rushed and if you are going to rush a book, you should always include something else (like a short second story, like they used to do in older comic books). ...

Suspenseful but Lacks Action 0

Here we are finally in the trial that everyone has been waiting for. This is a good comic and, for any TMNT fan, a must have. That being said, if you are looking for a lot of action and fighting scenes, you will not find it in this issue. If you are a comic book investor, this issue is not worth adding to your collection because there is nothing in it that is of any significance. But the storyline continues to be good and is well written. ...

Gorgeous Art- A Must Have in All Comic Book Collections 0

The issue that had been the talk of the comic book world is here and everyone anticipated that the end will have their dream ending. However, for most it was not was expected or even wanted. That being said, the collection of comic book art in this issue is undeniably some of the best works of 2018 and the storyline paves a path for future stories where Batman will have a new perspective on life, allowing the writers to create new original content in the future. If DC plays their cards right, th...

Action Packed Sci Fi Thriller 0

I find it really cool in this issue that you get so many character appearances. Superman loses his powers and Power Girl gets captured. Wow, that is pretty powerful! And who saves the day? Not a character that normally would. Guess starring King Arthur, Merlin, Icicle, Green Later, Wildcat, and more! But it looks like we have to wait until next issue to see what Injustice Society has in store. Also there is an Aquaman short in this one, and the famous ads page of countless gadgets and BS magic s...

Batman Cold Days Review Issues 51 thru 53 0

Bruce Wayne confronts himself when he realizes that he has the capability to cause severe trauma to his victims when he is placed as a juror for a murder trial where Mr. Freeze is the accused. Batman issues 51, 52, and 53 is powerfully written and well thought out as it dwells into the flaws of the justice system, the flaws of society, and the often forgotten Christian message which is forgiveness. Bruce Wayne has had an opportunity to realize who he is and where is roots are. You see like Job i...

Great Issue and Cool Concepts 0

The TMNT have one of the most memorable moments in their lives in this issue and meanwhile Krang is scheming to offset the trial. This issue plays very much like a movie or a suspense T.V. show as so much is going on, but it is all well written and put together very well You definitely feel like you get your $3.99 worth in this issue. I recommend buying cover A, as this cover is iconic and demonstrates the Turtles living on cloud 9 in their memorable moment, which is in this issue. ...
