Eye of the East - Faction

No Caption Provided

-Founded by Genki as his own personal espionage and assassin organization, the Eye of the East is a small but dangerous guild of clinical psychopaths whose role is commanded by Genki's need for information and the death of his enemies-

The Assassin Order

Enigmas, the Eye cannot be seen nor prepared for. They do not wear the sleek garbs of assassins, instead they don civilian clothing and appear to be completely normal. They are able to mingle in large crowds of ordinary men and women as though they themselves were. They possesses Eidetic memories and an almost supernatural ability to mimic any personality they observe without flaw. The apparent source of their ability? Psychopathy. Every single member is a clinical psychopath.

They do not have a conscience, no feelings of guilt or remorse no matter what they do, no limiting sense of concern for the well-being of strangers, friends and family alike. They view moral responsibility as a burden others readily accept without question. To them, the world is gullible. They are able to conceal their psychological makeup from others through mimicry, deception, and the simple reality that everyone simply assumes that conscience is universal among human beings. Hiding their lack of a conscience is nearly effortless. Because of this, the guild's members hold a distinct advantage over most people who are kept in line by their moral conscience.

Members are calm and collected, never break character, and deceive without flaw. They are therefore able to slip into any role Genki requires they play. Coupled with their great skill in the art of ninjutsu and assassination, they make for flawless assassins. Furthermore, they are also used as spies, slipping into locations to map out areas, observe events and collect information for Genki by posing as ordinary civilians or those cleared to enter restricted areas. They serve as Genki's voices. They are in meeting rooms, public spaces, watering holes, street corners, everywhere.

Most disturbing are the apparent shape-shifting abilities of the guild. They cannot violate the law of conservation of mass to suddenly grow drastically taller or shorter, but they can dramatically change their appearance within these parameters. These abilities are not genetic. Their ability to physically change their faces and appear as entirely new people is owed to a combination of tools, special training, and technology.

Skills

-Dim Mak/Touch of Death-

Often portrayed as an esoteric martial arts technique capable of either incapacitating or dealing death to a foe with a strike (or strikes) of minimal force, Dim Mak is said to target vital points in the body's meridian system, according to Eastern sources at least. And while the meridian system is believed to be the system through which the body's biophysical energies are transferred to vital organs etc. the Eye's version of Dim Mak allows them to strike the vital points in the meridian system to stop the cellular respiration, inhibit and destroy the mitochondria (the source of energy in cells), and interrupt the electron transfer in a foe's body in a clear effort to sap them dry of their energy.

Depending on the number of strikes landed, their Dim Mak may simply lead to seizures and weakness or leave a foe comatose from their body's disabled ability to use it's own energy. The Eye of the East often combines these Dim Mak techniques with the counter-striking strategy of Shotokan Karate which serves to strengthen their counter-striking abilities.
