FOX Blink - Respect Thread

Introduction
Clarice Ferguson, A.K.A. Blink, is a mutant with the ability to create portals.
As a result of her mutation, Clarice developed bright green eyes, pointed ears, and purple facial markings. Her hair was tinted magenta, and she eventually dyed her hair so that it was completely magenta. Clarice is of Asian descent, but was abandoned by her family as a young girl due to her physical mutations and ended up being adopted by an Irish couple as a teenager.
Clarice has appeared in the future timeline of X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) as well as the two seasons of the TV series, The Gifted (2017-2019). Although she only had a minor role in DoFP, she was one of the main characters on The Gifted and her character was much more fleshed out as a result.
Here is her Wikia page from X-Men: Days of Future Past, and here is her Wikia page from The Gifted.
This respect thread will be separated into two sections: her DoFP version and her Gifted version. This is mainly due to the fact that her powers function a bit different between the two versions.
X-Men: Days of Future Past
This version of Blink uses purple daggers in order to create instant portals. Blink can control where they appear and when they go away.
Blink creates a portal to the lower level of the underground base for her and Warpath to jump through. Notice how they enter the portal facing each other but then exit the portal facing away from each other:
Blink creates a portal for Warpath to jump through in order to attack the Sentinel from higher up:
Blink creates three portals within ten seconds: one for Warpath to attack from, one for Kitty & Bishop to escape, and then one for her to escape:
Blink creates a portal for Iceman to go through in order to save Kitty & Bishop:
Blink portals Warpath in, portals herself in, and then intercepts the Sentinel mid-lunge with another portal. However, the Sentinel puts his sharp arm through the portal and stabs Blink, killing her. What's interesting about this is that her portals can be used to dismember foes as durable as the Future Sentinels, who were much tougher than Colossus' steel form:
Then this timeline gets erased, so Blink lives to see another day...
Blink portals herself to Bishop and then creates a portal for him to shoot through in order to target the flying Sentinels:
Blink saves Magneto with a portal:
Blink creates a portal for Colossus to jump through, which brings high into the air. He dives into a ground portal, which carries his momentum through the exit portal, causing him to slam a Sentinel back:
Blink creates several portals in quick succession in order to redirect the energy attacks of the Sentinels into each other. She eventually gets overwhelmed by their numbers and is killed:
This version of Blink has the most combat-applicable use for her powers, as the portals are instant, can be created from range, can be created in quick succession, and she can have a few up at once.
Although her portals are only ever shown being used in close proximity, it is implied she can travel much further:
Kitty explains to the X-Men how they have managed to survive, and states that Blink scouts the next site and they leave before the Sentinels can attack. It is unknown which locations they travel to or how far they are from each other, but it is at least several hundreds of miles away and likely in a different country. In the film, the X-Men travel from a base in Moscow, Russia to a monastery in China. The distance between Moscow and China is roughly over 3300 miles (or 5300 kilometres).
The Gifted
The Gifted's version of Blink is less impressive with her powers, but she is a better and more developed character. Her portals must be created from close range and take several seconds to open. She can also only create one portal at a time, but they can be made smaller/bigger. She can only create portals to locations she can see or has been to before, but the range is at least several miles.
Season 1
In her first appearance, Blink struggles and it takes about 10 seconds to open up a portal to escape the cops:
Blink creates a small horizontal portal that leads to a small vertical portal above Eclipse; she tosses a toy through and it gets sliced in half:
Blink makes a portal for her and her allies to escape through. However, she struggles to do so and she is forced to close it before one of her allies can make it through. She ended up passing out from the effort, due to having to keep it open for so long and travelling so far:
As a result of the strain, Blink is suffering and convulsing, causing her powers to activate out of her control. Blink inadvertently opens a portal to a nearby street, and as a pickup truck breaks to avoid the portal, the back half of the car goes through the portal as it closes. The car is cut in half and maintains its momentum as it crashes through the base:
Blink also ends up opening several portals at once, all around the base:
For awhile after this, Blink's condition improves but she finds herself unable to create portals. Eventually, this issue goes away with time and the power of positive emotions.
With effort, Blink manages to open a portal large enough to allow an SUV to fit through, followed by Dreamer and herself. This is the first instance of Blink creating a portal after being unable to do so for awhile:
Blink opens up a portal for Thunderbird to jump through and attack a speedster mutant from above:
Blink creates a portal to a location a few kilometres away for her, Thunderbird, and Eclipse to go through:
Season 2
Blink opens up a portal to allow several mutants to escape through:
Clarice states that she can see energy fields in order to make her portals, which she does to see through an illusory wall and travel past it, a few hundred feet away:
Blink creates a portal for her and Thunderbird to pass through. Note again how although they enter the portal facing each other, they exit the portal facing away from each other:
Without line of sight, Blink opens a portal to dump someone into a car's open trunk, and then immediately appears behind the car through another portal:
This is one of Blink's best feats...With her back initially turned, Blink reacts to a gunshot and instantly opens up a portal to send the bullet back to the shooter. An amazing reaction feat and an instant/combat-applicable use of portals:
Blink opens a portal for herself while walking:
Blink creates a portal for several people to escape through, briefly stops when shots are fired, and then does it again for the rest of the people:
Despite getting shot multiple times, Blink manages to maintain a portal for a few seconds before it collapses:
Blink ended up surviving these gunshot wounds, but it is not known/shown how.
In a flashback, Blink opens up a small portal several hundreds of feet up in the sky in order to look at the stars:
Blink, alive and well, inexplicably arrives out of a portal, stating that she needs to show them something. She then opens up a new portal with a thrown purple dagger, like her DoFP and 616 counterparts. This was implied to lead into Season 3 of The Gifted, which would have been about the Days of Future Past timeline (but not the same as from the film):
Conclusion
Although Blink from DoFP has better uses for her powers in terms of combat, Blink from The Gifted is a much better and well-developed character with a good progression of her powers.
Her physicals are pretty normal/human, and she has no notable strength/durability feats. For The Gifted, she has the one good reaction feat, putting her speed at bullet-timing. For DoFP, she has the feats of redirecting multiple energy attacks from the Sentinels against each other, but that isn't as quantifiable.
Overall, FOX Blink is pretty low street-tier, but her powers can serve as a great support to any team she is on.
