Love that Hellblazer cover. I wish they had art like that for the interiors. I dropped that book a while back, largely because the art never seemed to fit the tone of that book, and I'm not usually one to be too nit-picky about artists.

I usually go with the Eastman covers, but I might have to go with cover A because Pete! Also, can the Mutanimals please have their own ongoing series?

Is there still two different storylines going on? That has kinda deterred me from following this book thus far.

Oh god that art. :/

I can just feel the interest draining away from me.

I've gotta say, I'm usually pretty forgiving with art but I agree with you here. I guess props to DC for trying to bring in different styles, but this definitely looks like something from a quirky indie comic, not a superhero book.

This might be something good from DC.

I guess you don't read Superman or any other current DC title.

I do, it is just that just about everything from DC right now sucks to me.

I think you're the first person I've heard say that since Rebirth. The general consensus I've heard from most readers, myself included, is that DC has been better in recent months than they have in years.

Bendis has no business writing Marvel cosmic books.

FTFY

Only Bendis can make me hate a book with Kevin Maguire.

Seriously, I love me some Maguire and would normally be super stoked for this. I don't understand why Bendis has been given such a monopoly over the Guardians for the last couple years. It's a shame with all the hype around the films, we can't get a decent Guardians book. At least Skottie Young gave a good run on Rocket Raccoon. Was sad to see him leave that book.

This looks like it could be fun. Chip Zdarsky always puts out fun books, at least.

Honestly, I'm just happy when anyone else but Bendis gets their hands on a Guardians character. I really wish he would give someone else a chance with their main book.

I'd personally say this was a 5 star first issue. I like that Lemire didn't lay everything out on the table right off the bat. The slow build really draws in the reader and appears to set the stage for a Thanos story unlike anything we've seen before.

Honestly, this one of just a few books at Marvel that I'm excited about these days, and Lemire is really proving himself to be one of their better writers, so I'm pretty stoked to see where this goes.

@nerevarine_11: Nick Spencer too.

His Ant-Man run was pretty great, but so far the other stuff I've read by him was less interesting. Still, I'd much rather read anything by him than Bendis, personally.
