@the_lobster_: What's especially hilarious is that the description of the story basically says it's still there. What else could "Or will Thanos finally let Deadpool die once and for all?" mean? Also... The whole plot is that nobody can die while Death is missing, so nobody can actually die.

Anyway, so this is basically a team-up story. That's kinda scary.

(Boy...Deadpool's looking especially pouchy in the cover)

Thor (Thor Odinson) > Thordis (Jane Foster)

Thor Odinson is greater than a random Jane Foster from a "What If..." story back in the 70s? Weird comparison, but OK. I haven't read that story, but it didn't seem all that great.

@galacticfork: But those characters would be as refugees from another dimension or as natives from the mainstream earth? Because if it's the first, then is a relaunch. If is the second, then is a reboot.

If the Free Comic Book Day Avengers book was any indication, they are integrated into the universe as natives. Miles really didn't come across as anything but a native. (There will not be a 616 anymore, though most of the details will be from 616 I think.)

It should have been Silk, not Spider-Gwen. At least Silk offers something different powers wise to the spider-people. Spider-Gwen is literally just a rookie peter parker. Offers nothing to the team at all.... and her world is what makes her an interesting character. Take that away and Idgaf.

What team are you talking about? They just threw a bunch of characters onto the banner. They're releasing as many as 60 books, I assume Silk will continue to have a solo run after the relaunch, her books are decent selling (as much as you can tell from 4 issues).

But it's a reboot or not?

Not really... That would imply starting from scratch completely. This is more of a regroup or spring cleaning to get rid of the clutters. The characters will still have their own histories which will probably be mostly recognizable, but they'll all be in one universe. So, some stories will probably continue fairly unchanged, others may have a reboot. But this is my interpretation, so I reserve the right to be completely wrong...

@truemarvel: I agree about Gwen, especially since a big part of her draw is her personal life, and I don't know how that's going to survive to the new Universe. I love the comics to death, but without her universe, she's just a rookie Peter Parker.

@gotham331: Wasn't Marvel Now more of a re-branding than an actual reboot?

I don't want Spider-Gwen in the new universe. I like her in her own pocket universe with evil DareDevil. Now we'll have 3 Spider-Women (maybe more, I think I lost count), and 2 Spider-Men.

I like pictures like this, the mixture of full costume and day to day stuff. Especially the one with Jay Hernandez in full El Diablo make-up smiling and listening to his mp3 player. Or Katana carrying her lunch.

I loved the cartoon, but I spent most of it wishing and hoping and waiting for Jubilee to do something. Her powers were just so sad.

I like the idea of a free large preview magazine, but I still don't dig the "all new all different" label. It's so "we're trying to hard!" I wonder if it's too soon to change it before Secret Wars ends.
