Spider-Man Is Not Fodder To Iron Man (Part 2)

Spider-Man Is Not Fodder To Iron Man (Part 2)Spider-Man has always been a consistent peer or threat to Iron Man (in any of his standard armors). Thanks to @just_sayin and @krleavenger for help with the scans, it's much appreciated..

Obviously this thread is a response this thread, which completely misrepresents everything. Initially, I found it mildly amusing. It's satire and I don't think any experienced user on Comic Vine actually believes that Iron Man is a high/mid-tier. Even those involved in making this thread don't actually think Iron Man could beat Spider-Man in a random encounter. It's meant to poke fun at or troll everyone rational on ComicVine. However, when you take a deeper look at some of the feats, this isn't just a comedic or unserious wank fest of Iron Man at Spider-Man's expense. It's disguised as harmless fun, but the anti-Spider-Man sentiment/disdain is real. It's a disrespect or anti-feat thread covered up with an Iron Man cloak. The Spider-Man dislike is apparent imo. Just looking at the replies in the comments, and seeing users actually linking this thread as evidence of Spider-Man's inferiority, has shown that a lot of people just didn't get it. As a result, those involved in compiling this thread, just went with it. Instead of treating it as the joke it is, they doubled down and pretended like it was a legitimate analysis instead of admitting it took them an entire year to make or that it was just intended to piss people off. Now inexperienced, ignorant, or naive users are directed there and they don't know any better.

Life has been very busy since I started working on this, so I did what I could. In the end, the only criticism of this breakdown will be that it took me too long, but that's honestly just a massive cope. This did waste a few sweet summer hours for me. Don't really think it was worth it to miss out on the great weather and time that could have been spent with family and friends, but oh well.

Stan Lee himself, the closest thing that exists to a Word of God on Marvel characters, has said only Thor, the Hulk, and Thing are stronger than Spider-man, and it mentions that Spider-man will grow in power. So current Spider-Man would be even more relatively stronger when compared to Iron Man since Iron Man's earlier armors have more powerthan his new stuff (Tony Stark: Iron Man #13) while Spider-Man has only gotten stronger since then.
