Ocean's Fourteen 0

SynopsisYet another classic Deadpool stunt. He's pulling the good 'ol double-cross heist, this time in Las Vegas.  The GoodThe art. Carlo Barberi continues to impress with each passing issue. This is what kept me turning the pages in this book. Hard to have anything bad to say about the art. The BadKarate Kid Nose Hooonk!  Plot. Yeah, it's not really that bad but is just classic Deadpool writing. He gets in on protecting a job then turns on his employers and steals the cash. I totally saw th...

Get Some Guns! 0

Synopsis:Abraham is sent with the "Construction Crew" to expand the walls while Rick has a covert operation going on back in town.  The GoodAs always, the art. Who would have thought I would enjoy a black and white comic for this long? So much information is conveyed with greytones it almost feels like it is in color. I still can't get over the fact that Abraham reminds me of the old Hulk Hogan of WWF days, but that's besides the point.   I'm glad to finally see some action in this title. I must...

Bruce, Morph Attack! NOW! 0

DisclaimerI have to say, as a disclaimer, that this is the first Hulk related book I've purchased in about 13 years. I am by no means a Hulk expert or haven't even been that much of a fan. I do not know what possessed me to pick this title up but boy am I glad that I did! With that being said, I'm going to ignore all the hulk arcs that have been going on recently (e.g. World War Hulks, Hulked Out Heroes, Red Hulks, Grey Hulks, Purple Hulks, etc) as I know nothing about them. Take this review as ...

The Return of Steam Punk 1

I've got a one-word explanation--Huh?    SynopsisI agree with the last reviewer in the fact that this may take a bit to process. However, should you be doing this with comics? This isn't a philosophy class, history lesson, and/or science fiction novel all wrapped up into one 22 page issue. Maybe that's just my opinion but you really have to pay attention to what's happening in each panel. I can say for myself, however, after digesting it panel-by-panel you still may not understand all the conce...

Super Hero Squad #6 0

SynopsisI have to say that I am pleasantly surprised after reading this issue. I definitely got the feeling that this was geared more toward the pre-teen demographic but what can I say for shopping in the "All Ages" section?  The Good  I enjoyed all the slap-stick humor in the issue and the done-in-one format of the book. All throughout reading it I found myself wanting to mimic the voices of the characters as portrayed on the television show--especially MODOK's.   I do find it strange, however,...
