She's lovely and could do well. However, will she be a Jubilee that plays an active role in the plot or more background? I doubt she'd be as extra, as she's appeared in all the other films; but she could easily turn out to be a Blink in the DoFP movie.

Not that I really like that they're mixing up the generational age of the character. I still haven't watched FIRST CLASS, because of what they did with Emma.

My honest first reaction to this new costume. I literally laughed out loud. I never really liked the idea of giving a man who's 'indestructible' body armor, but I think this swings a bit too hard the other way. I think Super-casual-man is a fitting name for this look.

It would be nice if it had a bit more of an ancient Greece design, but I like it over all. I do hope those arm spikes are retractable.

I wonder if Marvel Studios is scrambling to try and set up a Spider-man cameo for the after-credit scene of AVERNGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. It might not be too late to make that sort of small addition to the end of the film.

Knowing how long this deal has been in the works behind the scenes, I wouldn't be surprised if Joss Whedon had something at least plotted for a cameo. Just in case.

I'm completely open to adding women to the Ghostbusters team, but what was the point in making it an all female cast? Just from a marketing stand point. It's going to be a tough sell to a young male audience with figures or Halloween costumes?

Without Harold Ramis adding to this script and story and Bill Murray refusing to appear in it, I don't consider this a GHOSTBUSTERS movie. I was more interested in the concept of the older Ghostbusters passing on the torch to a new generation.

Young males aren't the only ones out trick or treating.

It would be nice to see girls dressed as ghostbusters next halloween instead of the usual female costumes such as sexy______________ (fill in the blank with whatever noun you like.)

I'm well aware of that, and I at no point claimed otherwise. Putting your assumption of my remarks aside, I do like the idea of seeing girls dressed up for Halloween as Ghostbusters. I was stating my confusion on they would cut off half a marketing demographic, in place of hitting both by simply mixing up the genders of the cast.

I love how this trailer is just so desperate to link it to another movie that has nothing to do with it. The way the video repeatedly mentions at the beginning and the end, "From the Studio that Brought You X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST". I don't even think anyone who worked on DoFP was even involved in this FF reboot. Yet, they want people to think about that.

Knowing all the bickering that's going on between Marvel and Fox, that Marvel logo at the beginning almost feels like a big middle finger from Fox.

No idea how this movie will go over, and there's always a sequel scheduled for 2017?

An American live-action remake of an anime with a white person as the star? Those always turn out great!!

Edge of Tomorrow turned out good

Agreed, though it wasn't based on an anime. "All You Need Is Kill" was originally a novel.

I read the manga of ALL YOU NEED IS KILL. The EDGE OF TOMORROW was only a very loose adaptation of the story. They kept the time travel, but lost all the darker aspects of the character relationships.

As with most things, the book was better.

I'm just incredibly sick of Hollywood taking ethnic characters and casting them as some white person. Scarlett will just be playing basically the same person she does in AVENGERS. People are probably going to see this and mistake it for the Black Widow movie. Even Grace Park (Boomer/Athena in BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) would have been a better choice. She has experience in drama and playing a humanoid-machine.

@jonny_anonymous:

Fine, just continue to live in your angry little world of doubt before you've ever even seen this style of sword used in a single frame of combat.

People also bitched and complained about Maul's double lightsaber when they first saw it in the original trailer. They said it "didn't make sense". Now, people love it.

@jonny_anonymous:

Lightsabers, by their very existence, don't make sense to begin with. Beams of energy that only extend to a certain length, can cut through anything but themselves, but don't radiate any ambient heat until the blade touches another object. It defies the laws of physics. None of that matters, because they're just cool.

It's just a bloody hand guard. It makes sense that the guard would be made of the same energy blade, since that's the only thing a lightsaber can't cut through. It's not as if they're saying that all lightsabers are going to be designed like that. So far, it's just this one person with this design. No one has seen this used in combat, so no one can actually say, one way or another, how much sense it makes. People are just flipping out because it's something different.
