I really have been enjoying Omega Men. It's easily one of my favorite DC Titles at the moment, so I'm really disappointed to hear about this. It's a shame DC couldn't stick to their 12 issue guarantee to allow some of these titles to establish a market.
This may read better in trade. I'm a big fan of Lemire, and I want to like this but it was a rather dull read. The conclusion point in this issue was already covered in the preview. Most of the story focused on character building, and quite frankly several of the characters I do not care for. They do have a "real" and authentic feel, despite my dislike for them. It's not bad or poor writing, it's more of just feeling a connection as a reader and it hasn't grabbed me that way yet.
I did have some minor issues with the art. I noticed when characters had their mouths open at side angles it seemed off. I'll continue to give this a chance for at least several more issues. I'm hoping several of the characters (Mie notably) gets redeemed where I actually care, feel and have a rooting interest for.
