Oh my Dayum... Should´ve been better options

I saw the movie on Thursday, absolutely amazing!

I’m not a Superman fan, still I’m a comic books reader since I’m 8. I can’t make a comic/movie comparison as I did with Batman and Marvel films, but from a comic fan optic, I can assure the movie is awesome in every aspect (plot, characters, scenes, FX, esthetic). Nolan’s hand is evident. Hope Superman fans like it too!

Sentry has always been one of my top marvel characters, for sure the best creation of the last decade (followed by Fantomex). I trust Remender. If any other writer would have taken this character, I´d probably be shaking. I guess Rick is a little bit obsessed with the Apocalypse stuff (he created more Apocalypses than anyone; the shooted boy, Archangel, Weapon X, Evan, etc.) Sentry as a Horsemen...? Still, I trust.

I think it´s a nice try. I wonder about the roster, if it´s only made up of “cops” or heroes too…

They do, as they are humans. The fact of having a mutation does not take them their condition of humans. Just like the albinos.

@frobin: I agree with; IM3 is, at least, nominated for the worst-super-heroes-movie price.

The twist, well... it was subreal. But I accepted it. I bought it, it was funny.

What happened after the twist was the real failure. I was expecting Tony to upgrade Extremis, inject it, and turn into de “ultimate” Iron-man, beating Killian and the Extremis boys. Instead, Pepper got Extremised and beated Killian herself while Tony was playing with his 50 empty suits.

Iron Patriot´s appearance? OMG. Not necessary. Really disgusting.

MARVEL´s movie N°3 karma. Thanks God we still have lots of N°2 movies on schedule.

The Mandarin stuff was weird but funny. What I can´t accept is the idea of having Extremis in the movie and Iron Man not using it, what´s the whole sense? The movie was OK until Tony was captured and told Pepper was injected with Extremis. Then I said “yes”, now he will be helping Killian with Extremis, he will improve the formula, and use it to build the ultimate suit in order to defeat him! No… Instead we got an army of empty Iron Men fighting with the Extremis guys and Pepper beating Killian…. =(

I love Iron-man 2 starting scene, when he jumps out of the plane and flies into the Stark Expo, surrounded by fireworks, and with AC/DC´s track Shoots to Thrill. “Oh, it´s good to be back!”. This scene summarized Stark´s essence. It´s perfect!

@projector: well, I’m a Marvel (and Batman, especially Morrison´s) reader, so in a way I agree with you; it might be DC's only redeeming quality... still, it´s a very important quality attribute. It creates comic identity, it´s the final reason for readers to feel crazy about a comic series.

I stopped reading good stories because of terrible artists, and kept on reading bad/mediocre stories because of good artist, lots of them! (Besides, Marvel is not on its “brightest” era regarding stories and plots…)

I will always stand for this idea: it´s almost impossible to reach powerful & creative comic identities with constants artist shifting.
