Dude, it's going to happen. Honestly WB should have lead with it. Batman IS DC. Deal wit it. When someone says DC has great videogames what they mean to say is Batman has great games. Arkham, Lego Batman, TT Batman. The only game that's not totally his is Injustice. But that game features more Batman universe characters then others. Most have one from their universe. Some have two at most. Batman has 10 characters in Injustice from his universe. Take the Batman elements out of it and it would be unsellable. Comic sales before Rebirth was just a bunch of Marvel titles and random Batman comics in the top 50 every month. DC is doing a bit better now getting other heroes comics to sale. But Batman is still the boss. Last month all the DC comics in the top 10 were Batman related titles.
On the animated side it has become a running joke how DC makes 90% of them about Batman. Or he's a lead character.
Movies: the only noteworthy series for DC heroes in 20 years is TDK. When someone says DC has the best villains they're talking about Nolan villains.
Even all the most pushed DCEU films are all Batman related. AND LOOK AT HOW MANY THERE ARE! Harley solo, Joker origin, Batgirl, Nightwing, Gotham City Sirens, Batman solo, Joker and Harley love story and Birds of Prey. You know there is a bad problem in DC when WB starts giving Harley precedence over members of the League.
At this point the rest of the DCU is literally just getting in Batman's way. WB is literally trying to mesh two film verses at the moment. The DCEU and the BCU.
They gave it their best trying to force the DCU into MCU like position. That's done now. They already announced the end of the DCEU. WB said no future films will be tied to the DCEU. They said all of them will be standalones with no cameos moving forward. That ended the DCEU.
Now WB is going to do what they should have done from the start. Put the focus back where it's always been and stop trying to be Marvel. Batman has always been the money maker. The BCU will be WB's next big announcment.
