Part 2 of "The Man from R.I.V.E.R.D.A.L.E." 1

In the next segment of Archie's adventures as a spy for the government organization of P.O.P. he convinces his cousin to let him help stop the evil "Mad Doctor Doom".  Doctor Doom has plans to make the students of Riverdale High all into "the walking dazed".  He's developed a formula that will make people obey his every command.  I'm still a newbie to the Archie series, that being said, I'm enjoying reading them with my daughter.  This story line is a fun twist on the typical girl crazy Archie.....

Choppy and Confusing? 0

This issue felt very choppy to me.  It seemed as soon as a story would get started, it ended on the next page.  It was difficult for me to get into the individual stories.   I realize this issue is a transition type story... well, I should say, I think that's what it was going for.  Where are these characters a year after the Cap "died".   As someone getting back into comics, and trying to jump into the Cap series, this was terribly confusing and annoying that it seemed broken up and unconnected...

Man From Riverdale. 0

Archie's favorite cousin (Andy Andrews) shows up in Riverdale for a visit.  We find out that he's actually a super secret spy for P.O.P. (Protect Our Planet).  When Archie stumbles on his new identity,  he decides he's going to help Andy stop the evil Mad Doctor Doom!   I haven't been reading Archie for a long time, and don't have a intimate knowledge of all the characters.  It seems like a neat twist on Archie by making him the Man from R.I.V.E.R.D.A.L.E.   I'm ready to read the other 3 issues ...

Eating the Realities. 0

Dr. Strange is a hard character for the age group that this title is aimed at.  Some of the concepts around him are difficult to understand for the younger people.  They do a nice job in this one of not getting to deep into the alternate realities and magical incantations.   There's a great (short) explanation of how Dr. Strange got to be the Sorcerer Supreme.   The Doctor recruits Spidey to help him out in stopping the Zakimiya from eating the fabric of the realities.  He gives Spidey some spec...

Fun Read 0

I picked this up last nite for my daughter and gave it a read myself.  I was a fan of the Muppet Show when it was originally on TV and wanted to find out what this title was like.  I think the writers do a great job of mimicking the characters mannerism/saying/etc.  I could almost hear the Swedish Chef in my ear.  It was good for a few chuckles and really reminded of how the show was on TV.   There was the main plot of the two nephews of Miss Piggy (Andy and Randy Pig), that in their naivety wer...
