A Lost Man

A man in his mid 20's, wearing a brown hoodie, wakes up in a dark alley with his head against one of the buildings' brick wall. He rises slowly with his legs shaking a little. It's very dark he finds it hard to see through out the alley. His vision is still foggy, as he hears the sound of a busy street and very loud cars, he turns and begins making his way to the street with his arm on the wall to keep balance. Suddenly, his head begins to ache tremendously. "Aah!" he screams. He drops to the floor. The man yells, wanting the pain to stop, it begins to ease away. He stays there for a moment, with his hands and knees touching the dirty pavement of the alley. His breathing is hard and unsteady. He tries to stand, and once again makes his way to the street, as he says to himself,"What was that? Where am I?". He asked as though he had the answers to these questions. He finally makes his way out of the dark alley and on to the sidewalk. His head again began to ache. He makes his way into a bar named Loner's. He rushes in and sits on a bar stool. "Bartender, I need a drink." The bartender makes his way over to the confused man, "What would you like?" he asked. "Something to ease this pain in my head." "Okay." The bartender hands him a drink. "Thanks." The bartender noticed the man's bruises and cuts. "What happen to you?" "Me?" The man asked. "I don't know." he said slowly. "Do you need some help?" The dazed man was unsure. "Say what's your name? I've never seen you here before." The man replied,"I'm....." then he paused not remembering his name. "I'm.....I'M....." Come on he thought, tell him your name! The bartender saw this man struggling thinking the man was insane. "Do you know where you're at?" The man thought then replied,"No." The bartender found this newcomer to be quite strange he slowly drifted away from him. Which the man noticed. "I know." Said the man to himself. "There must be something on me to help me, remember anything, anything at all." He checked his pants' pockets....nothing, he then checked his back pockets'.....nothing. He checked his hoodie's pockets......something, rectangular he felt and a tool of some kind. He pulled it out. He placed the things on the bar top near his drink, great he thought a pen and a journal, what can I do with this. He hung his head down with sense of hopelessness. He drank drink after drink. Finally, he opened the journal, clicked the pen, and began to write.

I don't know why I'm doing this. Maybe I hope it'll help in someway. I don't know where I should start, I guess the beginning would be the best way. I woke up today in a dark alley, my vision was foggy, and all I could hear was a busy street and cars. I made my way to this street trying to figure out where I am. When all of a sudden, I feel an intense pain in my head, I don't know what the cause was, but the pain was terrible, making me fall to the ground. I rose up and finally made it to the street where again the pain began to happen. I rushed into the closest building, a bar named Loner's. I ordered a drink. The friendly bartender asked questions like my name and if I knew where I was, easy questions, should've been quick responses right? then why could I for the life of remember my name. Where am I? WHO AM I?

- Sincerely, A lost man.
