This book is the beginning of the new Spider-Man status quo in the Marvel NOW! landscape. Peter Parker died in the body of his hated nemesis and Otto Octavius is now alive in the body of Peter Parker. In Peters final throes, however, he passes on a lesson of power and that other thing, something about corruption? The Flash was one of my favorite titles prior to the relaunch, and for the most part has stayed that way since. This is, in most part, due to the work of Manapul and Buccellato (who’s name is very difficult to spell) on art duties. It truly brings out the best in The Flash and is a sight to behold, and has been ever since the pre-new 52 series with Geoff Johns.Post-relaunch, Manapul and Buccellato took over co-writing duties as well as art. In the Aftermath: Apathy 0

Whew, ok. Let’s…let’s just take a second with this one.To start, this is a massive issue. The $7.99 price tag might have tipped you off, or maybe you realized as soon as you picked it up. Either way, this is a big book. To credit that, most of the book is actual story which is surprising for a milestone issue. Too often we see an oversized book filled with one standard story and a fair amount of sub-par backups. Kudos to Slott and Ramos for completing a full 48 page story that wraps up the lates...
