This has already blown all the other D+ Marvel shows outta the water imo, and if it keeps this quality up, It'll only grow.

@eto: I missed seeing you around! Thanks for the post.

Agree with you about technology getting out of hand. There's a difference between interaction online with a bunch of personas than having real people to love in life who will be there for you and you can be there for them.

Thanks bro.

Great thread. 💪

@trillcosby: I'd try CBR forum, here's generally battle threads and movie threads.

It depends on project. I am not interested in Hawkeye, Echo, Agatha or Ms Marvel but I will check out Moon Knight, She Hulk, Secret invasion.

I am going to stick with just the movies for the most part. MCU is not deep enough for TV shows as of now

To be fair I don't think all shows have to be aimed for everyone.

Ms. Marvel IMHO I have a feeling is aimed at a much younger audience.....which I'm not a part of which means I might skip that one.

Perhaps not smarter, but it make me think about it a lot: @

Movies:
- 12 angry men (we easily follow the group without thinking first)
- The pursuit of happyness (life = hard)
- Shutter Island (won't spoil it, can't say anything...:)
- Knives Out (great who dunnit movie made me think hard)
- Her (this is IMHO a point what technology should never reach, social interaction with REAL people should never be replaced)

- Schindler's List
- 12 years a slave

TV:
- Dark
- BBC Sherlock

@eto: I still haven't read Robin or 'Tec, but I read Bat/Sups and Reptilian and boy, am I dumping those two books. Reptilian is moving way too slowly and not offering anything that is worth my money. Ennis' characterization of the characters is a bit hit and miss for me, so not really hanging around to find out what will happen next. I might give it a go once it gets collected.

To be fair Bats/Supes is ending in November I believe. I like it, but I get where your gripes are coming from. The comic is just doing its own thing at this point.

Reptilian...is weird lol. I like the portrayal of this version of Batman, but the villains feel off to me.

Batman/Superman is just really going around the same place for me and for a book that is really centered around alternate versions of those characters - not really much of a big deal for me. A bit tired of alternate realities and multiversal adventures from DC at this point.

Yeah, definitely understandable.

Checkmate is also out this week and the book continues to be a tragic mess. Bendis skips from place to place and from today to some weeks ago at a whim and Maleev's great artwork doesn't really help out the book to be coherent.

I'm not surprised...yet another Bendis book that doesn't deliver a coherent story let alone a great story.

@eto: I enjoyed Robin but Tec has gone downhill recently. Reptilian is great and has the most badass Batman characterization out of all others. Yang's Batman/Superman is also a damn good book which doesn't get enough credit. I'll talk more about Reptilian after the next issue because that's when the pieces will fall together.

Personally I think Robin is great.

'Tec, well let's just say I'm not a fan of Mr. Worth.

Reptilian was better this time IMHO, the characterization of villains in previous issus felt weird to me.

Batman/Superman
Is the Observer now basically the Watcher of the DCU? I thought that was Tempus Fuginaut.

@eto: Robin's the only one I read, but it was great. Damien dealt with the Bat-Fam in a more cheekier fashion and his interactions with Dick were charming and heart-felt. It really does feel like I'm reading an extension of his Rebirth Supersons persona here only he's a solo act. I also like Rose being so concerned and looking out for him, they have great chemistry.

Agreed on all accounts.

It was a great story. I loved the throwback to Dick Batman & Robin era. :)
Dick's always been the closest to Damian and I'm glad Williamson is able to maintain this bond.

Next stop the Lazarus Tournament!

------

Only thing I didn't like (just a little bit really) is my boy Jason being a bit naive. But I'm biased when it comes to Jason. lol.
