@Gritterr: Enjoy that Fantastic Four stuff. I was never a huge FF fan, but Hickman's entire run has turned me into a fan. It's some incredibly awesome and powerful stuff.
Yea, right after the article published I saw this as well. I'll update the post if/when DC makes it official. Although, Chris Burnham has tweeted it is delayed. Unfortunate, but there's plenty else to buy this week ;)
You guys, this is the correct list, in order (more or less) of magnificence:
Alabaster: Wolves #4
Rachel Rising #9
Night of 1000 Wolves #3
Carbon Grey Vol.2 #1
Saga #5
Captain Marvel #1
Silk Spectre #2
Fables #119
Supergirl #11
Batwoman #11
Jennifer Blood Annual #1
This Wednesday I bleed...
Don't worry, you might get it right next week. Tune back in.
I agree here that your list is way cooler than the Norris list.Seriously folks once again the blog list wallows in industry fed Bantha fodder listing titles that have been overhyped to death already. Only SAGA (an obvious attempt to scramble for street cred) and Sunset and XO being worth the ticket price. My list wouldn't include Supergirl or Batwoman, but I have a scattering of DC and Marvel mainstream on my monthly pull list as well. There is other better stuff out there that should have been on Eric's list instead of industry standard DC and Marvel, but this is what is consistently wrong with ComicVine and it's approach to comics.Any chance kulukimaki can take this list over,Eric?
Ouch, that hurts. And you could at least get my name right when asking me to step down ;).
But as I've mentioned before, while I write the 10 comics feature weekly, it's ComicVine as a whole that chooses the titles to feature. And we include "industry fed bantha fodder" because we honestly enjoy it and recommend it to our readers. We love the indies too, but we're not going to only include them simply to be alternative or, dare I say it, comic hipsters (*shudders). We love all comics, whether tights and capes or not. So going into creating this list we try to balance it out with a touch of everything on the menu. There is no conspiracy of getting fed dollar bills under the table from marvel and dc to include their titles on this list. And if that were the case, I haven't seen a dime ;).
