Frieza survived a planetary explosion after being beat up, cut in half, and then blasted so who in their right mind thinks Goku can't do it? Anything above base survives and is still in fighting shape.

I never even noticed that they were different. It's so minor.

I don't want any unique weapons such as the Glaive from Krull or the Darksaber from Star Wars, instead I want a type of weapon where there's more than one. This is obviously more of a sci fi thing since most fantasy weapons are just a real world weapon with magic applied to it or a very stylized design but there could be fantasy examples.

My first pick that comes to mind is a sci fi one, though. It's the flechette guns from the Honor Harrington universe. What I like about weapons in this universe is that they feel like what our modern weapons really might evolve into. The flechette guns are standard sidearms, like the equivalent of a pistol. Like most Honorverse guns it uses magnetism instead of chemical combustion to launch projectiles which makes them travel much faster and hit a lot harder. It fires a cone of tiny metal darts (flechettes) which are almost guaranteed to kill the target at close range. There's a great scene where a guy pulls his flechette gun on some guys who are standing right next to him and catches them by surprise. These are superhuman soldiers wearing body armor and the flechettes turn them into red mist, basically.

And that's just the standard sidearm in that universe intended for close range combat, their pulse rifles are much more powerful, so powerful that if it hits your left arm from far away the entire left side of your body is probably destroyed. The best part is that all these weapons are pretty much what the guns of the future will probably look like. I'd take a pulse rifle over a Star Wars blaster rifle any day.

@piratekingoda: The way it actually ends is surprising, albeit sort of rushed. Let me know when you finish the series.

The Star Wars universe is a mess written by a bunch of different writers and has some dumb stuff in it, particularly the expanded universe. Light sabers and the force are cool, though. I think everyone agrees with that.

Harry Potter doesn't have much in the way of details about how the wizarding world works and the magic just does whatever the plot needs it to. As cool as it is the universe just isn't well put together. I would actually like to see more books set in the wizarding world by some other authors that explain more about the world and the magic, I just hope it wouldn't end up like Star Wars.

I admit that I don't know much about One Piece because the art style has always turned me off of the series. I know that it's known for its world building though and that the rules surrounding how the different abilities work are well established. I like the setting from what I know of it so if there's a good novelization of the series out there someone let me know.

SPOILERS AHEAD

My friend's argument: Jack erased the future timeline causing billions of people to have never been born including all his friends. He should have killed Aku in the future and stayed with his friends to help them rebuild the world instead of destroying the world. It was also out of character for him to abandon them without even hesitating because in the past he always chose helping others over completing his quest like with the two monks and the cursed archers.

My argument: Jack erased the future timeline undoing all the evil and suffering Aku caused. He did the right thing by making sure that the future would be a better place even if it meant all the people in Aku's world were erased and even if some of them might not even exist in the new timeline. It wasn't out of character at all because his quest was always the same: return to the past to destroy Aku and undo the future.

Absolutely, and it's super easy to make.
