Sejic’s most known work at least creator owned is Sunstone. It has a fairly good following given that it is geared towards mature readers. I’m looking forward to it. I loved his art on the small stint on Aquaman and tie-in that he did for Dark Nights. I also enjoy the fact he does both inking and coloring. I haven’t read his creator owned projects to comment on his writing though.

100 million budget is still relatively low for a superhero film and should be more than low enough for DC to turn a profit and justify a sequel.

I’m getting sinister vibes from that Uncanny X-Men 19 cover with the ruby diamond front and center.

@aahz: Secret Empire was in the middle of it's run in June so you have some tie-in that could be in there which might not be in July. There are also inevitably some annuals that might have came out. Also if you are talking about Red Hood. It actually did see a small uptick from 25 to 26K which when you're fight for positioning around 100 on the list. The extra units can have a pretty decent impact. Probably a mixture of both.

@rustyroy: I would agree with this. The problem with going with the legacy route is that there has not been nearly enough time invested to hand someone else the cowl.

Depends if you read Morrison's batman, Bruce Wayne seems to be the persona as his Batman voice starts bleeding over. I think either 2 or 3 would work.

@bat_girl_cc: I'm not saying the numbers don't matter just that they don't tell the entire story. In addition there are big comic stores such as Midtown Comics in NYC that can afford to order big on a retail variant cover, charge extra for the special variant which helps cover the cost of any regular they don't sell right away. They are also big enough that they can make the money back on other items.

I doubt DC will cancel Batgirl. It fills a niche crowd that they aren't likely to abandon any time soon. BoP though, I would agree that might get canceled since it overlaps with Batgirl and will likely only keep one or the other. Outlaws will likely stick around because again, it fills a niche crowd and sells decent in trade to justify keeping it around.

@jameswayne: something to keep in mind when looking at the charts since I am not sure how familiar you are with them. These numbers are the sales from the publisher to the retailer. Unfortunately there is no reliable way to get the numbers to the end consumer. There are tools that the publishers can use to sell / push extra copies either through overshipping which marvel did in January or through special retailer variant cover which require retailers to order large quantities of a comic in bulk. In return, they get an artist to do a custom variant cover for their shop.

While The league of shadows arc in Detective Comics has been ok. I was thrilled about the button crossover with the Flash. Really thought it was Tom King's best issue on Batman so far. Not sure if that's because the main part of the story was essentially written by Johns. Also took a break from some of the side characters and just focused on Batman and Flash. Looking forward to seeing Bruce and Thomas Wayne in the next issue.

@nathaniel_christopher: my understanding is that it takes place during Zero Year. I'm rather skeptical on the story supposedly it's going to have ramifications for the existing DC universe but eh... maybe the three Jokers will get addressed in some form?
