"I am Arch-Sergeant Cull von Doom, and you will address me as such. Do I make my-my-my-my-myself clear, soldier?!"
The Metal Wars were a devastating time for all robot-kind. Except they weren't. No single entry in all of human history has ever mentioned a "Metal Wars". Yet, there exists a cybernetic organism who has no doubt in his mind that they not only happened but also consumed humanity in the fires of death. This organism, designated LC-744 Arch-Sergeant "Cull von Doom", is apparently one of the few survivors of his regiment. At least that's how it is in his own head.
Humanity is nearly extinct in his mind, and has been systematically replaced with synthetic humans mass-produced by "the Enemy". He will go to any lengths to massacre humans he comes in contact with, unless they provide the proper identification of course. What this actually means varies, as the human authentication software in his head is as extensively compromised as the rest of his neural adapters.
He will often enter into a city thinking it is an active warzone and dispense his own brand of justice on the "synths". He goes to great lengths to save the humans he feels are being terrorized by the nonexistent synths, even if those he saves end up being products of the Enemy at a later point in time.
Cull is a heavily-armored autonomous organism, protected by thick plated metal that is capable of shrugging off concentrated amounts of firepower from multiple sources. His main claim is that he survived the nuclear blasts the Enemy detonated on his regiment, thus resulting in him being the only one left. This, however, is highly unlikely to have ever happened. Interestingly, some of his armor plates do have radiation scarring. Whether this is due to an actual atomic bomb is up for debate.
His hydraulic strength output is in the Class 30-40 range, meaning he is more than capable of smashing through concrete walls or bending steel with his bare hands.
His preferred method of fighting, strangely, is while at range. He truly believes that he is still in an active warzone that has become global, and will go to any lengths to obtain tactical advantage against the invisible Enemy. His Typhon-pattern Bolt Rifle is a magnificent piece of hardware, with a full .998-caliber round exiting the chamber at a rate of 500 rounds per minute. These bullets are practically self-propelled grenades, using a primary propellant mechanism that ends with the actual bullet exploding into a fiery hail of shrapnel. He manufactures these projectiles himself.
Where he came from exactly is a mystery. There were multiple "super-soldier" projects during the second World War, and the Enemy he is constantly talking about could be the Third Reich. This is the most widely-accepted theory, as a plate under his arm has a series of numbers that is 30s-era military code for "New York".
He regularly uses shorthand terms for people or places that are, at least to him, easily definable by a wide audience. Such terms are not, however, common by any stretch of the imagination.
- "Stater", used to describe someone from the United States
- "Komrade" or "Red", use to describe someone from the Soviet Union
- "Auto", presumably shorthand for "Automaton", which is also something Cull calls himself in reference to being a hulking robotic organism
- "Can", or "brain"
- "Massy", seems to describe "mass-produced" or "synth" to an extent, seeing as how Cull's shattered psyche puts them as "mass-produced artificial humans"
