@zetsu-san: “morals off” “in character” is the situation you’re describing. that’s how most non bloodlusted battles are written up. bloodlust will never mean in character because no characters are ever actually bloodlusted (unless they’re being mind controlled or something). completely driven by nothing but the desire to kill. that’s what it is to be bloodlusted. i don’t know why you’re not understanding this. the definition is there. you aren’t right based on that alone. “uncontrollable desire to kill or maim others.” it’s uncontrollable and therefore overrides any reasonable thought or plan. you’re going for the kill, there’s no strategizing. morals off in character allowed characters to perform dark techniques while still having and maintaining reasonable planning skills and thinking.

@kataraaaa: 1) i didn’t say toph needed 1v1 feats. however, they are useful in placing characters and without them no matter what she’s never going to be solidly placed above or below any character.

2) reaction time does matter. she’s not going to blitz toph or anything, but it means that no matter what toph throws at her she’s going to have time to respond effectively. that’s why it’s important.

3) raw power isn’t going to be a factor in this fight. they are on par in that regard regardless (factory feat/ship feat vs library feat). roughly the same

4) katara low-mid diffed azula without using much water. no amount of fodder wrecking is really going to equate toph to that level and that was prior to katara’s book 3 amp and hama training which each increased her fighting ability by huge margins.

@zetsu-san: no they aren’t bloodlusted. a vigilante being vengeful and willing to kill isn’t the same thing as being bloodlusted. being bloodlusted is the act of being blinded by an uncontrollable urge to kill. if you can strategize you can thereby control it. by definition not bloodlust.

serial killers aren’t bloodlusted because they aren’t going for the kill off the bat. they have a process. they wait, strategize, plan, and execute.

bloodlusted is not in character. a bloodlusted character would use completely different methods and techniques in a fight.

i need more feats from the avatars to decide and the only ones we know a lot about can’t do this (aang (dies instantly) and korra (goes down eventually or could potentially pull some amount of wins but i don’t see her taking any majority with p’li there who is nearly unstoppable in a situation like this).

@kataraaaa: toph has no 1v1 feats to say she can actually win this. katara has low diffed azula in the catacombs (only got overwhelmed once they ganged up on her) and toph has nothing remotely close to that in regards to fighting non fodder. furthermore, katara has better reaction feats (reacted to azula’s lightning after it was shot during the comet) and better defenses (old iron punch). i see far more advantages in katara’s favor than not. i can see it being argued as close not being argued in toph’s favor. she lacks credible battles to firmly place her.

@zetsu-san: being bloodlusted means you are only going for the kill. you aren’t going to methodically plan out how you kill the person and you are not going to “trap someone” because that isn’t killing them which is the only thing that would satisfy the characters bloodlust. bloodlust conceptually on here does weaken a number of characters due to making them fight sloppier. for example a bloodlusted wonder woman vs superman would not end well for diana but if she’s thinking logically and strategically on how she can overcome him she’s more likely to pull a few victories (not a majority but it’s just an example). that’s just an example but yes bloodlust typically does weaken strategic fighters.

what the OP meant was just morals off and going for the kill which is a different stipulation entirely.

katara wins. it’s high difficulty but overall katara is a smarter and more adaptive fighter with the proper defense, offense, and maneuverability to win.
