Name: Sebastian Zaballa
Height: 6'4" - 8'2"
Age: 30
Species: Yacuruna
Job (in the human world): CEO of Tucuxi Industries
Sebastian, like many Yacuruna, is a very crafty individual. Even aside from his powers, most people would simply find him so easy to get along with they'd usually try even harder to get along with him then necessary. He is quick to befriend and get the most out of them. The main difference between Sebastian and most Yacuruna is that he is also much more easy to reason with. While he has abducted people, it doesn't take quite as much to get him to release them, or to convince him to help heal somebody. He actually cares about humans for the humans sake more then other Yacuruna, who for the most part say they like humans and other species, but will usually only like them for their own benefit or because they want to turn them into Yacuruna like themselves. He would very likely protect them if it came down to him having that chance. Although he might not enjoy doing so, he'd very likely feel guilty if he did nothing when he knew he was capable.
Languages: Sebastian is very good at linguistics, being fluent in languages in a very short time after he thinks he might need them. He has thus fluently learned Spanish, Aymara, English, Quechua, and Portuguese and numerous regional versions of them.
Abilities:
Healing: One of the things Yacuruna are well known for is their ability to heal even some of the most deadly injuries or diseases. This ability allows them to even bring back to life anyone that was very recently deceased, primarily before they begin to truly deteriorate. They can do so by simply touching them, for injuries that may have broken a bone or something, they will usually reset the bone as they heal them. Although this ability can be used on themselves, it works much better if they use it on someone else, particularly humans, amazon species, or other yacuruna.
Aquatic animal communication and control: Yacuruna can communicate with all aquatic animals natural or supernatural. In addition, they are very good at convincing them to do things even if they don't come from the amazon. If they do come from the amazon, or are closely related to an amazon species such as the dolphin, they can straight up force the animal to do as they choose whether it's willing to or not. The restriction primarily relies on what it is. Reptilian species are particularly vulnerable to their wills.
Shapeshifting: The Yacuruna have three main forms they can change between, their normal forms as enormous hairy looking men, often with backwards heads and deformed feet, a human form that is usually attractive, and that of the Amazon River dolphin, also known as the Pink dolphin. Some Yacuruna can change into other forms, but all of them are limited to species of the Amazon, most of which are aquatic in nature. Sebastian has shown that he is able to use this to become an Arapaima, a rather large carnivorous fish, and is able to become other things but usually does not do so.
Breathing: Yacuruna are able to breath the air or salt or freshwater no matter how murky or messed up it is. Although if they take on a certain form they may have more restrictions, they can't breath on land if they are a fish, but they may still be able to breath in any sort of water.
Incredible strength: In any form the Yacuruna possess incredible physical strength, as a human they are easily three or four times an athletic persons strength. While in their normal form however they are even further beyond that, capable of using brute force to restrain things as strong as boa constrictors or gorilla with ease. Even able to straight on slam into elephants killing them on the first hit or throwing tanks. Despite this massive levels of strength it is far from what Yacuruna appreciate using. They are definitely not violent, they usually prefer doing things peacefully (or at least by being crafty instead of strong.) This strength can also be utilized for speed, allowing them to move extremely fast even in unusual territory. In general a Yacuruna doesn't exercise, nor get angry even under pain. However should one do so they will have their strength increased considerably.
Durability: In most forms the Yacuruna are proportionally more durable in comparison to their strength, so around four times as tough as the animal normally would be. Although usually with an extra resistance to brute force and strength.
Extremely flexible: Despite not usually using either speed or strength, the Yacuruna very commonly use flexibility. Their necks function much like an owls do, allowing them to turn them all the way around easily. Which is also why they are often known for having their heads on reversed. Although the rest of them isn't quite as flexible, it's certainly much more difficult to out maneuver them through agility or grappling.
Mirror dimension: Yacuruna are able of entering a mirror'd dimension of the human world just by passing through a liquid that is in one way or another capable of reflecting light, particularly if it's water. This dimension is populated entirely by Yacuruna and people they have abducted, who will eventually also become Yacuruna or mermaids over time. In this dimension most Within the city, the yacuruna live in palaces of crystal with multicolored walls of fish scales and pearl, reclining on hammocks of feathers under a mosquito net of butterfly wings.
Intuitive communication: They are usually very intuitive, particularly through the voice and body language. They are extremely capable of understanding what someone is thinking or about to do based off of nothing but slight changes in their body language. And can often figure out what it is they want the same way. Likewise, they can do the reverse, giving off certain signals some big and some small that at the very least subconsciously communicate something to the person.
Intelligent: Sebastian is pretty intelligent, although his intelligence is a very normal level for his species. Particularly dealing in being crafty when it involves people, but still very proficient at things like puzzles and strategem.
Immortal: Yacuruna do not exactly age or starve as much as they do simply go somewhere to die. Why they do this or what prompts them to is kind of a mystery, just as much as where Yacuruna came from in the first place as there are many conflicting view on it. Unless killed, a Yacuruna can practically live forever unless they believe it's simply their time to die.
