If he could take that amount of damage then he wouldn't have escaped in the first place! It's common sense that the writer/director team intended that to be perilous to Thor's health which is why they had him escape in the first place. Unlike Superman and Zod who would have been able and did indeed survive a much more dangerous and fiery reentry from bloody space crashing down from space without as much as a scratch.
Not necessarily. A punch in the arm is not going to kill me. Doesn't mean I want to be punched. If someone stated firing paint ball bullets at me and I was out of gear, I would attempt to avoid it too. Sure, it wont kill me, doesn't mean I want be hit.
Still doesn't take away from the premise that it was a threat to him. I already posted a clip of gravity actually hurting Thor from much less height to support that.
That's just what I mean. The thought of crashing from space to earth was so inconsequential to Supes and Zod that they casually were willing to keep fighting and not mind the fact that they were on a collision course that would have killed anyone else. That's the level of power that they are on. Thor on the other hand was very concerned by the gravity of the situation.
Didn't Thor and Zod slow down though?
