@edblank: "Apparently, their desire to have the lightest skin possible drives this in some"
You say this as if it's universal amongst the Chinese that wear this. As if that's the catchphrase on the tag when bought at the store. Do you have any proof or are you just making this up. Because after some quick searches and articles, the purpose of this "face-kini" seems genuine and not even remotely racist.

He wasn't the focal point though. I think Rey and everything in the middle of the poster seems to drag your eyes there. I think others would agree. Why were Baz, Poe, and Chewy left off? It's not like Finn was taken off entirely. Maybe the answer is simply marketing? Although I have no knowledge on that, it seems like a better assumption than straight up racism.
I know black people are despised around the world. But there is no evidence to suggest that they shrunk Finn on a poster because he's black. So it does seem like a strong conclusion to jump to.
And just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I have to go to the other extreme and say "Chinese moviegoers love black actors". That doesn't make sense. "Only a Sith deals in absolutes". Maybe you should actually back up your claims of racism with the Chinese. I think you are saying it's racism, and not looking on it before clearly thinking about it.
