@warsman: ((I don't appreciate people trying to diminish my plans by contradicting my vision of the omniverse. I'd recommend you don't. I like you and all, but this is important to me and I'd rather you not try to superscede my canon without engaging me in role play. Especially since yours will be gone in a month or two knowing you.))

What happened in the past is shameful, but it is a fixed point in time. I can only mourn it.

Gaunt's ghosts is typically where most people start before branching out.

Also the AT-AT is very much not an equivalent to the Titan.

And there is the Celestial Orrery to worry about.

Yeah, AT-ATs is not a super good example, they are more Warhound size, the smallest of Titans, but that Turbo Laser they pack is pretty serious as was their shields.

From what I know of Warhammer 40k (limited) and my knowledge of Star Wars (very good) this statement was true a year ago a true today.

If I wanted to start reading 40k novels Cadence, what would you reccommend? You seem pretty knowledgable of the universe.

Warhammer is a very solid and tricky subject. there is no real "dive in point" per say. there is 100+ novels out there that cover a VAST range of styles, characters, time periods, ect.

IMO the best place to start is the very beginning. The Horus Heresy. It is the most important story of the whole franchise honestly. Many stories is simply a chapter of constant battles won or lost. The Horus Heresy was where it all started.

These three books are the most important. I start there.

After that branch out and touch what you want from there. Most of the HH stories are then different view points of the Space Marines or Humans involved the Heresy.

Do a little research and find what you like.

Next up is the Omnibuses. There are many factions and popular characters covered in Omnibuses. Again do a little research on google and wiki's to see what faction may interest you the most.

Maybe you like to read about the Space Wolves Chapter.

Blood Angels Chapter.

Soul Drinkers. So on and so forth.

Maybe you do not want Space Marines, maybe you want Chaos Marines like Word Bearers, Iron Warriors, or Night Lords.

Maybe you want inquisition and Grey knights.

Or perhaps stories of average Humans in the form of Imperial Guard Novels like Gaunts Ghosts.

Hell, maybe you want to read about aliens like the Eldar!

So much to choose and read, but do a little research online, and find what you may like.

Ciaphas Cain is also worth reading once you're invested into the lore since it's basically an affectionate parody.

That and Cain is badass.

And yeah in any case, Brother Genericus shoves Chief's head up his own ass. The fact that the UNSC's weapons save for the Spartan Laser are generally only equal or inferior to our own weapons only makes it worse. And Covenant's plasma weapons fire projectiles that go at about "water balloon speeds".

@cadencev2: He's still got a 3+ invulnerable save, 3 (or was it 4?) wounds, and eternal warrior lol.

@warsman: There can only be one omniverse. It literally means "all worlds." You are thinking of just this multiverse, which is little more than a clump of related universes. He will destroy it all. Every last reality. Every infinite permutation, every endless variation. All to make a new, perfect era.

One vision, one purpose.

And, unless the prophecy goes against him, he will succeed.

His plans extend far beyond your universe. It involves the destruction of every reality, the end of all current order, to create a unified omniverse under one, omnipotent figurehead. You would have simply never existed in the first place.

@cadencev2: Toughness 5 so only one in six of those are wounding, and only half are going to hit. Then he has a save of 2+ so only one in seventy two hits are going to stick. Then he has a 6+ FNP save so you can shave off just a few more hits.

Oh and since he's on a bike he can go across damn near half the board in one or two turns.

He is of course, tremendously expensive. But you get what you pay for, and what you paid for is a super-expensive beat stick.

I fully expect you to fight. I fully expect me to continue to fight for this cause. I fully expect our victory, even though I pray it never occurs.
