@d9000: DCEU stands for DC Extended Universe. Which, for some reason, is the name that has been adopted by fans instead of DCCU. DC Cinematic Universe actually makes even more sense for DC than it does for Marvel because DC is keeping their TV separate.

It was referred to as the DCCU by fans until DC themselves called it the DCEU.

Also on the larger topic at hand, I can't fathom some people's negative feelings towards the upcoming DC films while simultaneously praising the cheesy DC shows.

"Seven different hub worlds exist for you to explore and find extra things to do when you’re not playing the story mode. These hub worlds include South Africa, Malibu, Asgard, Barton Farm, Sokovia, Washington, D.C., and Shield Exterior, and they can be traversed with various vehicles from the Marvel universe, such as the Mooncopter, Thanos-Copter, and Lola (the 1962 Corvette from Agents of SHIELD)."

Also this figure really lets you appreciate how freaking awesome the MCU Thanos is. They did one hell of a job with his design.

Not all of us are living in a basement with long boxes and cases with Bowen Statues. Some of us have responsibilities. Comics are expensive. Now they want to push overpriced licensed action figures.

A serious collector is someone who has zero responsibilities other than themselves. A 400 dollar action figure? Just stupid. Even if I did have that kind of money, you really think I am spending 400 dollars on Thanos?

I'm sorry, I missed the part where you were forced to buy it. People need to remember that these are Sixth Scale figures, which means this figure is 15" tall. 15" with that amount of detail and articulation amounts to a lot of money. Don't feel it's worth it? Don't get it. But there are some people who this is a major hobby of theirs, and these figures are something that they feel are worth it. Keep in mind that many people spend this amount of money (or more) on stuff like paintings and other decorations. Quality stuff is expensive, no matter what the hobby.

I'm glad Rogers is back. Not a fan of his new suit or shield.

Secondly, isn't there a "new Falcon"? So now what Sam Wilson just gets s***ted out of being Falcon now too? He gonna be on sanitation duty in Avengers tower before it's over with.

This is why I hate legacy characters. We all know at the end of the day, sooner or later Cap will come back, as will Thor, Wolverine etc. It just hurts the guy filling the role. I'd much rather have had Wilson become an even cooler Falcon, using the movies as a springboard to get him more visible to readers.

Marvel's been a soup sandwich the last couple of years.

Super excited about this. The shield makes sense now that Cap is "going on the offensive".

You know Steve can take apart tanks and jets and stuff casually with his normal shield, right?

Yes but I'm going off of Spencer's pitch for the book, which is Steve going on the offensive rather than defending, and the shield design reflects it. I'm not being literal, just noting how the shield's design fits the tone and angle of the book.

Super excited about this. The shield makes sense now that Cap is "going on the offensive". I love the classic shield as much as the next fan but this will allow us to see Cap use a new move set, which is something that hasn't really changed since the character's inception. And according to Spencer, this wasn't something Marvel mandated - he wanted to bring Cap back for his 75th anniversary. Also this book isn't going to replace Sam Cap's book, it's going to continue.

Really cutting back on my weekly pulls until I catch up on my backlog from all the Comixology sales over the past few months.

My essential for the week is Imperium.

Also picking up Eternal Warrior and Uncanny Inhumans this week.

I just did the same thing. I probably have 500 comics that I haven't read yet, so it doesn't make any sense to keep buying weeklies. Plus my opinion of the idea of buying a comic once a month has soured of late. I think I'm going to just buy singles on Comixology after an arc is finished (singles are usually cheaper than trades there).
