My Pull List

List items

  • Need I say anything? Snyder was born to write Batman. I started the month Death of the Family began and I was blown away with the writing. It was unlike anything I had previously read and I was hooked. The issues between DotF and Zero Year were a bit mediocre, but Zero Year has been phenominal so far!

  • The first volume was one of the first I picked up when getting back into comics late last year and boy was my mind blown. The art was unlike anything I had ever seen and I knew once I put down the book that I needed to add it to my pull list ASAP. Sad to see that DC is essentially forcing Williams and Blackman off the title. Will stick with it until then, but unsure if I'll continue with the new team...probably not.

  • Another fantastic Fraction joint. My first comic I picked up upon getting back into them after a many years. It's just so much god damn fun. The art fits perfectly and Fraction writes to perfection. It's nice to have a book that isn't arc after arc and doesn't simply involve a world ending plot. Too much fun!

  • Read much of Brubaker's run from '07 to '09. Was the only comic I got back then and thought it was fantastic. Hands down my favorite character thanks to Mr. Brubaker and so far Mr. Waid has been nearly as fantastic. Love the colorful art and just everything about this series so far. Probably the one character I wouldn't drop even if the creative team left.

  • Didn't know really anything at all about Wonder Woman before I started picking this up last fall. Kept reading glowing review after another that Sara was posting here and I figured I needed to atleast pick it up sometime. Got the first volume from my library and I could not stop reading. Thanks to Azzarello, Diana is probably my favorite DC character now. I hope he has no plans to leave anytime soon!

  • Loved the first issue and I hope this one goes on for a while. It's cool to see some villians that are just regular people who happen to commit crimes because it's what they only know. They're not the over the top villians most comics have, but rather just petty criminals who happen to have some sort of power. The characters are interesting and likable. I hope this series lasts for a while because I could use something different from a typical costumed hero book!

  • Read the first volume in Dimension Z and wasn't too crazy about it. It almost seemed like a too long arc just so Remender could introduce a new character. Jet Black seems like a cool character and I hope she is developed well. Started picking up single issues with the start of the Nuke storyline and I have been loving it so far. The covers are just fantastic and the interiors are some of the most beautiful I've seen. I'm a huge fan of Brubaker's run which was essentially an espinoge version of Cap. This is different, but seems like it has the potential to be awesome. As a fan of the character I hope that Remender does right by Steve Rogers!
