"Oh, you're flying manually today huh?" She asked with a smile and slipped into the co-pilot's seat. It was a little easier to sit down without a cape to worry about all the time. "Oh...I think the times passed them by a little." She said, answering his question. "I guess they just weren't what people wanted anymore, so things changed and everyone moved forward. I guess that's kind of a weird summary for society in general huh? People don't like the way things are anymore, so they change and move forward...or at least on anyway." She said, indicating she didn't think every social change since 1950 was for the better.
"I was honestly becoming too reliant on autopilot," he answered with a grin as he began to access the navigation panel. The panel, reflecting the chrome color scheme of the bridge itself, was modeled with a substantial quantity of knobs, levers, handles. The ship began to ascend as Raymond's hands almost leisurely glid over the controls. Through the crisp pilot's viewport the pair could see the vessel rise above the complex, smooth and nigh soundless in its ascent. The dimension of the Speed-Force powered its maneuverability, the ship's core crackling orange as it enabled the Starsurfer to hurtle up into the clouds.
"In that case, society's moved on bit much where I come from," said Raymond, offering Hope a meaningful glance. "In some ways, I mean. It's one of the reasons I became a time traveler, to enjoy better aspects society once offered." A sigh escaped him as they streaked into the upper reaches of earth's atmosphere. For all of its advancements, the society of his world was no less flawed than this one. Feeling better than to end on such a solemn note, however, he forced a smirk, adding, "-like retro cars from the 1930s that bear a striking resemblance to my ship, for instance."
