Dr. Izza watched as a figure dropped from the skylight, not scaling down a rope as expected but simply dropping down onto the balcony, then jumped again, performing an impressive acrobatic flip as she did. Izza took this new information with interest. Even an Olympic champion would not be able to drop as far as she did and land like a cat. This was clearly a unique specimen.
As the figure landed another ‘person’ entered the camera frame. Izza knew of this patient, having seen it wandering the halls via video feed, but had never encountered the beast personally. Apparently is had taken the cafeteria as its territory. The roar of the patient sounded small coming from the monitor speakers, but she imagined it was deafening in the confined area.
Izza briefly considered the options at her disposal. She was curious as to the woman’s purpose. And being such an athletic specimen she would no doubt have plenty of healthy blood. If the patient killed her, it would most likely also feed on her as well. There was really nothing Izza could do to stop the creature. And the intruder had brought this on themselves….
Rapidly hitting a string of keys Izza engaged the locks on the heavy door leading out of the cafeteria and waited for the show to be over.
