Big 2 franchises/characters
Concept character/team ranking (though some entries are based on identities which have various separate representations in different continuities. See Vic Sage and Wally West whom the New Earth versions would be on the list, but the Prime Earth versions nullify their consideration. In fact, I still can't decide how I want to handle Flash, so I just put Wally and Barry at the bottom).
I'm trying to stay true to "concept character" b/c it really does depend who is writing them, their continuity, etc (see Rucka's Wonder Woman vs Tomasi's Wonder Woman). But it's hard - recent writings do sneak into my subconscious sentiment.
Top 30 is concise. General grouping after that.
