My Favorite Covers.

I have so many covers I enjoy just looking at I decided to try and share them with you. These are not in order of preference, just as I go through my collection and find them.

I'm also doing this list so I don't have to pull out my whole collection just to see them.

List items

  • I love the layout of this cover. As you can tell, the issue doesn't deal with light subject matter.

  • As you can tell, I'm starting this list with The Question, one of my all time favorite series. This cover is striking to me because of the(lack of?)use of color. It's a little disturbing to look at.

  • I love how The Bengal just seems to be appearing from the tree. Loved the read to, for a mere human, he gave DD a good fight.

  • With that smirk on his face, this is the way DD should be, looking happy go lucky but ready for action. This shows, to me, how he looks after his city, always on alert for trouble.

  • Very minimal. Also, this is the first issue I bought and it got me hooked on 'ol Hornhead.

I could go on for quite a while with DD covers, these are only a few select that stand out.

  • This is on mainly because when I first saw it, it was new. Like DD I could probably put most the covers from this series on this list but I'll try to stick to just a few stand outs.

  • Color and layout once again are striking to me. Booster Gold bringing in yet another era of heroing.

  • This one and the few following are up for the main reason of similarities they share. They all show how human and fragile our heroes can be.

  • Going with the previous Booster cover, this shows Ted in danger....in an alley. It's not just "Super-villains" he faces.

  • Not exactly able to defend himself, even DD can seem threatened by a knife. (Not as close to the Beetle cover as I remembered thinking when I saw it, but still works).

  • It just speaks volumes doesn't it?

  • Like the contrasts here.

  • Again the contrasts are striking, I actually enjoyed most of the covers from this SS run.

  • It's the Impossible Man, what's not to like? ;p
