@ultimate_knight Do you know if they already released that game and digital exclusive? Did you pre-order it?

@donfelipe: Hmm...

It is a collaboration. Ninja Theory could have had a word and affected the decision on the comic being a digital only pre order exclusive, but I guess not really knowing much about the deal, we cannot be really certain with the connection of Ninja Theory and the comic.

I guess (just a guess) that they thought having a comic among their preorder bonus could reel in more gamers to be tempted to pre order or something. I guess the plan is sort of backfiring from the comic book and Valiant fans.

Yes, this is probably it and there's no better collaborator than Valiant. Valiant has a rich history of doing lots of different things in marketing for the sake of being different, because they can, and believe it's awesome.

Anyhow, please please please let's stop talking about it.

I don't think it will make me feel any better.

@ultimate_knight: Whatever risky business it is that Ninja Theory is taking here has nothing to do with the digital/pre-order exclusive being a digital/pre-order exclusive and the fact that it will not be printed.

Whether or not this release strategy is in favor of Valiant is hypothetical thus questionable. I don't see how it's in favor of any of the two companies to be honest. You think Valiant wouldn't sell enough print copies to break even hence it's better for them the way it is. I don't know about that.

None of these things (and your points) change the fact that some readers who are not interested in playing computer games but like to read this comic would have to pay $30 for a digital copy only. If anything this is not in favor of a reader of Valiant comics.

Sure, Operation Deadside.

Hmm...I guessed kind of right. Yey me.

The Mr. Twist connection could somewhat be possible in my current point of view. The Deadside has not become strictly Voodoo anymore with Mr. Kindt's writing, so maybe other magical stuff not relating to Voodoo can pop up?

All this talk of monsters with tentacles remind me of the one below.

Yeah, you actually nailed it.

OMG.... another green creature with tentacles and more than just two eyes.

@ultimate_knight: Hellblade/Ninja Theory - You made a few good points there. I don't think there is anything wrong with the 2 companies collaborating no matter to what extent (now, and in future). There is no problem with a comic adaption of the game in general and there is no problem with Valiant doing this. I guess.

"I don't expect to see Mr. Twist in Harbinger Renegade anyway."

Uhm, "see" as in being mentioned.

I have not gotten too far into Mr. Robert's Harbinger run yet so I do not really know.

I am not sure if this "Alpha Beast" will be making an appearance in the modern day or not.

There could be connections, but I did not really pay much attention to Britannia's setting and lore, but the character first and I have not read the "second volume" as of late.

Yes, the solicitation is a little vague about it.... perhaps Solomon's bulldog (Diablo) can turn into that creature at full moon? (jk)

The demon entity Axia discovers in Britannia is seen consuming its victims, too. The same entity is possibly seen at the end of the Immortal Brothers one-shot meaning it would be still around during the Dark Ages and King Arthur's reign respectively. Even Mr. Twist from Shadowman could have (had) a connection to that demon entity. :)

All of these seem to be a lot of possible threads from what little I remember or the issues you mentioned.

The demon entity from the first volume of Britannia was kind of a major plot point, so I remember that. I think that one had tentacles no?

I cannot recall what monster you seem to be specifying in The Immortal Brothers one-shot. Was it the one that was pretending to be The Lady of The Lake if I remember correctly? That one also had tentacles. Is that the Britannia connection?

I sadly do not remember much about Mr. Twists backstory.

Sorry that I do not kind of know enough to speculate with.

All of this is far-fetched but possible.

Yes, both have tentacles and multiple eyes. (Britannia & Immortal Brothers)

Mr. Twist also has lots of eyes and sets of teeth, consumes his victims, and his flesh is made out of his victims' flesh.... like the demon entity in Britannia. Tentacles not so much. His backstory remains a mystery which is why, in hindsight, someone could make a connection. That's the craziest part of my crazy theory and I don't expect to see Mr. Twist in Harbinger Renegade anyway.
