Wow! Great article, really well-documented and I particularly enjoyed the analogy between their relationships with the Al Ghuls. Bane is my favorite DC villain and so I thank you for writing such a great analysis of his similarities with the Bat. Bravo !

I am beyond excited for this story arc. I've been loving Geoff Johns run on Justice League and Jason Fabok on art is just awesome.

I just have one question. There is this one character listing off names in the comic saying who's going to be there. One of the names dropped was Jason. No last named is given so my question is the Jason their talking about Firestorm?

Yeah I was wondering the same thing

Takion was a human being who became a new god

Takion wasn't a New God he was the embodiment of the Source. It's why he's more powerful than your average New God.

Ok, my bad, I thought that it was what made him a New God

@injusticeforall: Way to talk about out of context. Darkseid got his behind handed by the League and was thrown out like yesterday's garbage by an inexperienced featless JLA who lacked team work and coordination that the old one did. They were also doing it without Superman himself who is supposed to be the only one who can stand up to him.

The Justice League took down Darkseid only when they decided to team play, and even then he was still going strong. You also said that only Superman can stand up to him, but remind me who took him out in the first place in this story arc? That's right, Darkseid.

Now my point is not to say that the Justice League can't handle Darkseid, which is obviously false, but to say that if it took the entire Justice League to take him down, his only "equal" in this fight might be H'el, who took a similar treatment.

So, if those two are similar in strength levels, the victory will be determined by the fight between the other two, and there I would give a slight edge to the first born because he was able to take down Wonder Woman and Orion whereas Wraith only fought Superman.

@thor_ul: I meant the main version of him, the one designed by Simon Bisley and Keith Giffen...

I'm usually open minded when it comes to changes in comic books, but I really do hope there is a plot twist to that fake lobo thing... It feels like an insult to the original lobo that we've come to love for all those years...

Fury is probably aging since Battle scars, when he gave the infinity formula to his son, he said that "nature'll catch up soon enough"
